Nate Jones is a CB Blitz animal!

This guy has been doing it all year! He really is surprisingly impressive in his effectiveness doing this. He has put pressure on coming on CB blitzes in 4 or 5 games this year. He seems to time it or hide it very well and then makes a nice burst. Not sure why but he seems the best (and least risky to send on a blitz I guess) of our corners, doing this.

In addition he has been very stout on special teams again this season. One of those players that is always on the bubble, but he's a decent role player on this team for a guy cut and then resigned.

Anyone got stats on how many sacks and QB pressures Nate Jones has, hehe.

He gets a game ball from me!

He will have a very difficult time making the final 53 next year IMHO.

This probably won't happen again this year. If Jones blitzes, throw it to his man. If Jones doesn't blitz, throw it to his man. If you wanna talk about liabilites in the secondary, he is #1.

He's slow and has problems in space.

Probably his last year as a Dallas Cowboy.

He's not the only DB who's facing his last year as a Dallas Cowboy....

Unfortunately that's about all he does well.

I think he is a good lead blocker as the secondary return guy on kick offs. Better than Austin or Thompson.

I really think Reeves might be gone. I don't think Wade likes him very much.

Hell....I don't like him very much. The only reason he doesn't catch more hell here is because he's a 7th round scrub. (Draft position ought to go away once they're on the field, but honestly it doesn't).

It was clear who the Packers were targeting last night. And it's not like they were targeting him with Driver and Jennings.

Jacques Reeves - possibly the worst cornerback of all time. :(

You are exaggerating right? Jacques Reeves isn't a Newman, but Phillips has praised his play all year, and that isn't something he does to players for the heck of it.

You look around the league and Reeves is better than what most teams have as a 3rd CB.

if you mean the guy in your sig, then you are probably right. He will be starting for someone not named Dallas.

Of course I'm exagerating.

But only the last statement. The rest I'm serious about.

Reeves will be a FA.

My guess...2-3 million per year just to keep this kid in a Cowboys uniform.

He was already making 850,000 per year.

It's not a stretch to see him getting a $1 Mil pay raise...especially after starting every game this year.

I'd like to see Reeves return next year, but probably as a 4th CB or atleast in a position battle with a rookie

Didn't Mario Edwards get a nice contract from TB? I think Reeves could get something similar. I like Reeves...sometimes, but I'd rather us draft a playmaking corner.

*cough* Cason *cough*

Reeves should go somewhere else and play...

Good idea.

Not.
