I just love listening to Nate Newton. He is on Michael Irvin's show talking about how the Offensive Line can play better and what he and his former teammates would do if they were struggling with a very good pass rusher.

He also stated that someone told him that Flozell Adams was jumping offsides because after a play, he would be talking somebody (not sure who, probably random players) and would have a hard time keeping up with the snap count because he is hearing impaired.

I know when we drafted him, they said he was deaf in one ear and he may be a candidate for RT.

Also, just to paraphrase what he said about what he and teammates would do and what these guys won't do (I think these are true stories):

If my Tackle was having trouble with Lawrence Taylor, I would tell him in the huddle to bring him inside and I am gonna to punch him in the gut or crack his ribs. When he did that, that got Lawrence Taylor off of thinking about getting to Troy Aikman and he had to deal with us.

I've heard the thing about Flo multiple times, as far as him not being able to hear but they paid him like a starting LT, and he is our starting LT, so I don't really want to hear the excuses.

I have been saying this for years .. a lot of people forget that the reason we were able to draft Flozell was because he fell due to his hearing problems.

Now hearing problems have nothing to do with his poor play recently but that is why he jumps off-sides so often. Amazing how many people forget or never knew that about him.

Interesting. The Taylor thing makes me smile though because I remember reading a story somewhere, sometime, that when Jimmy and his coaches were only like a year into the league that the OL coach was having a meeting with the OL and they were going over how they were going to block LT and the exchange went something like this.

"Coach that's LT."

"Yeah, so?"

"And we're going to block him like that?"

And the coach then supposedly went off of the guy for acting like LT was this unblockable superman.

Something along those lines but the story made me laugh none the less.

Offsides hasn't been Flo's problem this year. Allowing passrushers to kill our QB is his biggest issue.

Hes still averagine about 1 per game.

Its funny and a good laugh when Romo is in the game.

When Brad is in the game than he just killed a offensive series.

I thought Flo's hearing problem was common knowledge (which is why I've never been hard on him about his false starts) but I think the stinger he got in AZ is really affecting him. If he cannot get his hands on those speedy end rushers then Flo doesn't have a chance against them.

How about remove Proctor so Flozell doesn't have to worry about blocking two guys?

Actually, Flozell has been scrubbing for awhile...

I've read before that he refuses to wear a hearing aid device, but he has been aproached about it.

He'd be wearing a hearing aid or sitting on the bench for me!
