Nate Thomas got exposed

The problem I'm seeing is the inability to shade protection to one side or the other because both tackle positions are awful, whether Guyton is in or not. We may need to use another first on a replacement LT and have Guyton/Thomas fight it out at RT, with the loser taking over swing duties.

Oh, I'd rather have a different OLT. I wasn't happy w/ the Guyton pick at all. Project pick in the 1st? Ick. Problem is, he's the only OLT type on the roster. And I hate that.

I really don't know what you're disagreeing w/.
My bad then.
I guess I was under the impression you were more sold on him than that.

Cheers brother.

Relying on a 7th round rookie to be out on an island at LT and do an even decent job is whistling past the graveyard at midnight. Not surprised you’d get freaked out.

But I also feel the OL needs better coaches, just like the LB and DC.

He’s a jag. He was exposed the first time he stepped on the field. Not an nfl player.

Reminds me of the fat sloppy OT we had from Florida St years ago. Or the fat Italian Purcells trotted out there.
Charron Dorsey. A massive human being. R.I.P.

I'm not. Guyton has the skillset to be a top 10 OLT, but he was very raw coming in. More than anything, I'm just hoping that he pans out so we don't have to spend yet more resources on the OL. We simply cannot afford to at this point. Maybe there's another Jason Peters hanging out that we can sign. Need a bridge.

Not freaked out at all. Bad read by you.

I guess you failed to notice that many were screaming to put Nate at OLT.

Guyton? Skills? Where?

Snotty got exposed. Everyone but him knew an inexperienced 7th rounder couldn’t handle one of the best pass rushers in the league. He didn’t even scheme to help Thomas. Snotty is an overconfident person and it seems like his lack of success doesn’t dent his know-it-all persona.

In his body. He's a twitchy player w/ great agility. Very fluid. Has the tools to be a top 5 OLT.
I will give you that but inside that body is a brain that causes him to be soft and not too bright.

Shotty has Garrettt level confidence and ability.

Quite possible. I hadn't heard anything to that effect. He wasn't known as being a soft player, what makes you say that?

Guyton had a long way to go when drafted. No way he should've been a 1st round pick. That was Jerry painting himself into a corner yet again by previous bad drafting.

He slipped in the draft because of his behavior. Since he has been on the Cowboys he has been unreliable. Just sat out the biggest game of the year. A false start machine. Are you watching the same player as I am?

Good point. The oline coach has his hands tied to an extent

People are like “cut Guyton!” Or “cut Steele”, and that’s just anger and frustration.

You cut them and the problem just gets worse.

Pene Sewell is not on a couch somewhere waiting to sign up and a practice squad player for some other team is on the practice squad for a reason

Or is it that he had to go play after play after play against one of the best pass rushers in the league?

Do people really think Guyton wouldn't give up multiple sacks and pressures going 20 or 30 obvious passing snaps against Hutchinson? We were so far behind, they didn't have to worry about the run at all.
this .. Detroit dictating every phase of that game, doing so let them choose the best matchups all game everywhere......

Not focusing on him, no. He's been improving, I'm simply hoping he works out so we don't have to throw yet more resources at the OL while the D rots.
