but then its pretty much always been that way
 
Good for him. It was a weak year with no record breaking blue chip players like in prior seasons.

It was Mendoza’s hands down after beating OSU.

The closest runner ups were Diego Pavia and Jeremiyah Love who both unfortunately played on loser teams.
 
With such a weak class of finalists it would have been refreshing to see someone like Jacob Rodriguez from Texas Tech win it instead of it being just a defaut offensive skill player.

I gotta say, this was a pretty weak attempt at trolling. I expected better.

Hunter last year but other than him it was Woodson. Both were two way players though.

Shame a good DE or LB cannot get the award.
 
Seems like a good young man with a good head on his shoulders.
Impressive speech compared to others over the years.

Who knows where he goes but if he winds up with a team that is located in an area with a large hispanic community.....the money he could make off the field could be huge.

I agree this was a kind of weaker year. No super standouts like Hunter last year. With that said this QB was pretty clutch and even when his team could have had a let down vs PSU he helped bring them back in an impressive drive.....and He also went against Ohio St defense that is no joke.

PS getting off the mat after that shot he took on the first snap in the B1G title game showed a lot

He got absolutely frigging drilled and came back strong and un rattled

He impressed me

The point of college football is to win your conference and/or make the playoffs.

Neither Vanderbilt nor Notre Dame accomplished either of those goals.

As such, they are loser teams.
Just like the Cowboys. If they don’t make the playoffs, they will have had a loser season.

Pretty straightforward and simple.

If they really wanted to blow my mind, be cool to see one of these franchise OTs who get drafted #1 overall and have a HOF career actually win the Heismann.
