The long and short of it...a kid shot himself in the high school I attended, and where my sister currently goes. Luckily he didn't hurt anyone else, but they found 30 shotgun shells and 2 molotov cocktails in his locker, so I assume the idea went through his mind to hurt others. Apparently, he was mad about a punishment the school had given him for smoking weed in the parking lot, and was open about wanting to get revenge. He had also apparently been visiting Columbine type websites.
I'm not at home and it was a real scary thing knowing originally only that there was a shooting, and not being told that it was a suicide. Unfortunately, to make sure that the incident was isolated and not multiple kids, they took everybody's cell phones, and I was unable to reach my sister for hours. Not a good time.
Just thought I'd share how close we were to another school disaster.
