Here me out on this one. We should get Chad Johnson, Roy Williams, or even Randy Moss. The conflict that people are talking about is the ego trip that would be going on between TO and either of the three players I mentioned above. TO wants a ring and I believe that he would put aside his differences with either receiver in order to get one. Not to mention players seem to get along when you are winning games. Just think if either of the three were in Crayton’s shoes we would have scored 7, and not to mention Romo would have had 37tds during the regular season (the dropped ball Crayton had against the bears). Nothing against Crayton, hes a good player and fun to watch, and it is defiantly good that we are going to keep him around, I say if we got a chance to load up this team lets do it now and get that ring next year and not wait another 3 or 4. If a big time receiver were to go down…ie TO at the end…you would still have one of the best in the game still playing and you could focus a lot more attention on that receiver…lets load this team up next year…Romo and company need a ring. I do agree with the CB situation. Offense is almost perfect, defense needs a little work.

1. Welcome to the boards.

2. No way on Johnson, Yes on Roy Williams (depending on how much we'd have to give up.) and I don't know what to think about Moss, my gut feeling is telling me "hell no" but he is a very good WR.

Welcome to the board. I would love Roy Williams here but the other 2 I am not so sure of.

Yeah cause 'loading up' on WRs (Including Moss) worked so well for New England's superbowl championship this year.

I feel ya, on it, but I think we've got to shore up that secondary a bit more than we badly need a Moss or Johnson at WR opposite of T.O.

Maybe Roy for the right price.

Why no way on Johnson? Dude is a player.

I would imagine it has something to do with the money situation, though I can't be certain.

I swear if it wasnt for him going to UT everyone would put RW in the same category as the rest. Hes a head case too.

I still think its funny reports are that the Lions are asking for asecond and yet people say offer a first. Sad really.

I'd take Roy in a heartbeat, the fact that I'm a Longhorns fan probably has a little something to do with that, but of the three, he's the one I'd rather have.

Still, I'd like to see a WR drafted in the first round so he's ready to go when T.O. is through.

Agreed. I'm not saying give a first. But if they'll give him up for a 2, I'd take it.

Chad Johnson and T.O. are good friends but when I thought about their dynamic personalities I kind of re-evaluated my opinion, the Cowboys would be a much better team with Ocho Cinco but the circus would be out 24-7... I believe Dallas would be wiser to go after a younger Roy Williams and let him learn from one of the greatest WR's ever in T.O.

It would be pretty interesting to see T.O. and Johnson and how they'd get along (I think that they'd do fine since they're good friends anyway) and how they'd try to top one another both in receptions but endzone celebrations.

Not a big name, just another good WR. See how the Giants and Patriots had WR depth? Who do we have behind Crayton? Nobody.

How is he a headcase, fuzzy? To me he wants to be an attn-*****, but can't cuz he plays in Det.

My issue with him is that he always seem to have some nagging injury. Other than that, I haven't really seen much of him that would make me wary.

As for the OP, I don't care about a big name receiver, so much as I want a younger, big play receiver.

I don't know about that Fuzzy. I mean, other boards appear to be interested in Williams as well. I don't think the interest is just because he's a Longhorn. I would probably say that the interest is a little bit greater because he's a Horn but not simply because he played at Texas.

He shows no toughness which is mental no question but reports out of Detroit are that coaches have a hard time getting him to play hard. The results are obvious when he does but then again so are the ones when he doesnt.

My thing is that ocho and TO's issues dont interefere with their ability to perform. They may be a distraction to the media and some teammates of lesser wills but they always come to play.

You cannot say that about RW. He reminds me of a more talented Jacob Rogers.

I'd say the interest is there cause he's a very good WR and that is why people want him. Where he went to college is irrelevant.

I probably spelled that wrong. Curse my bad spelling.

Show me other boards that say a first for him is a good idea.

I think thats asinine in just about every respect including reality.

Its a bad idea to give a first when the reports are that the Lions are asking for a 2. No need to offer a 1.
