I thought it would be fun to ask the forum guys for some help on our local peewee team.

What I am looking for is to purchase from someone some DVDs of the Cowboys 2005/06 season.

This is the second year of the team and the kids are always asking me about how a play or a certain technique looks like. We do repetitions on the practice field, but I thought I would use the Cowboys games to show them what the pros look like when they are in certain alignments, coverages and executing basic plays.

Training videos for kids are terribly expensive so in order to find another way to "skin the cat" I thought of watching Cowboys videos.

I guess we could watch any teams videos, but I know the Cowboys roster the best and who plays what position. It would also give me an opportunity to go over the season again.

Does anyone have Cowboys games they would be prepared to burn on DVD and sell to me? I don't have a burner and I never bothered to do this last year.

Please PM me if you can help. Thanks in advance and Mods please feel free to move this thread to the appropriate forum.

Perhaps videos of the '93/'94 season would be a bit more fitting.

...has videos similar to backyard video, but I want to show them some of the execution in acutal game play.

Backyard is more of a one on one teaching tool forcusing on the individual. Games show the execution of the individual in team play.

Another video series like this would be a waste of money in my mind.

...it's not only useful to show them how a well executed pitch looks, but also what it looks like when it isn't so well executed.

Whats good about a recent season is these youngsters recognize the name and may stay more focused on the lesson at hand.

Lasst thing I want to do is work with our QB by talking about George Blanda's footwork.;)

I wish I could help...but?

Have you checked the Media Zone here? There have been tons of you tube stuff posted and other video by TEK and theebs that you might be able to use?

...lot's of stuff, but I don't have a burner so I need a DVD format to make it easier. I'm considering bringing my portable DVD player to the field and walking the kids through the execution of the play, then showing them how a pro team does it or doesn't do it on the DVD player.

Sort of a visual teaching method.

...already and they are great videos. I want content that will show them the drills and techniques as it relates to game play.

I just don't think the Pro Game is a great learning tool. I know that sounds funny but for instance there is not a lot of text book tackling in the NFL as players seem to be looking for the highlight show kill shots instead of coming up putting the facemask in the numbers and wrapping up. I think Pee Wee or Pop Warner is a time to learn the fundamentals of the game and I just don't think you see that in the NFL

...but I was looking for the game overhead to show guys here's where you should be in the field as the play unfolds.

Ex. On a pitch play this is the depth of the runningback. Take a look at the steps and pivot of the QB on the toss. Etc, etc. What a game does is show position on the field in relation to other players, the offensive/defensive line and the sidelines.

Youth America videos show all the hand techniques and position techniques prior and during impact, but they don't translate into position techniques in regards to players on the field.
