Need More Ryan Davis & David Irving

In 8 snaps Davis already has more QB pressures then J. Crawford & Mayowa in 3 games:


Ryan Davis is a guy who may find himself more in the mix. He was credited with two quarterback pressures in eight snaps in his first game action with the Cowboys.

The Cowboys signed Davis earlier this month after he was released by the Jacksonville Jaguars, and he became the most proven rusher on the roster with 11 career sacks. The Cowboys didn’t activate him for Week 2 at Washington, but had him as rotational depth against the Bears.

“I felt I did pretty good,” Davis said of his Cowboys debut. “I definitely want to go out there and provide a rush when my number is called. I’m just going to pin my ears back and go.”

Davis’ two quarterback pressures are already more than starter Jack Crawford (1) has through three games, as well as offseason addition Benson Mayowa (1). David Irving leads the team with seven pressures.

It looks like Mayowa is getting less snaps, has been disappointing on the edge thus far.

What's wrong with our Coaching Staff. When 75 got into the game on SUN, the Defense was different. Do we need to send Captain Obvious to DAL to discern who excels and who does not. Totally agree on Irving, R. Davis. Maliek Collins and Terrill McClain as keepers. Jack and KingCrawford, Thornton, Mayowa are firecracker duds.

I think he's a better 3 Tech than DE. Ideally I'd love to see him and Collins rotate at the 3 Tech with McClain and Thornton at the 1 tech. But he has to play DE out of need I guess because we are so weak there.

Having someone flash on occasion is better then having someone in the game who doesn't deliver squat. Play Irving. He has the most length of anyone on the team and seem to give tackles fits.
