Many said, playing from behind requires more passes. Some even said that this defense was so bad that we'd have to throw to catch up or keep up. ALL LIES! Sticking with the run, running early and often is the key to our success and was last year. Romo should never have to pass 32+ times for us to be a competitive team or give us the best chance to win. Great game by Tony, but our real success came with sticking with Murray and PA because teams FEAR Murray. Great win and here's to more running with the lead or trailing.

Team win all around, but Murray needs to get it together(fumbling) or he's going to cost us big soon. That's 3 games in a row now where he fumbled, 2 came on the opening drive and set the tone. And not to mention he started this game with 6 attempts for 1 yard. There were also a few times on 2nd and 10 where he got fancy and tried to cut the run backwards like Barry Sanders and put us in a 3rd and 14/15 hole. It happened multiple times, but he still did have a good game. If Murray wants to be the man toting the rock, then don't be the same guy who puts your team in a hole.

We won today because of some clutch 3rd and long plays. Those weren't setup by the run. In fact, we needed to mix in a couple of more 1st down runs as they were run blitzing a lot.

You're right, "our real success" was with Murray, he never put this team in a hole and is the only reason we won today. I know you're the biggest Murray homer here, but c'mon lol.

I have to disagree with the OP. Depending on the time and score, sometimes you do have to abandon the run, and sometimes you do need to shift the balance.

I think our team would excel more if we used the pass to set up the run as opposed to the other way around. I also don't think we can win many games if they come down to the wire like this. Our defense just isn't good enough for that. We need to set the tone and score early and often and then focus on the run.

Romo did great today and made timely throws to help get us over the hump. However, my initial premise stands. There is never a need to abandon the run with this team. In the past, a 21-0 deficit would automatically call for 40+ passes from Romo. That would have certainly led to a loss today.
