New America's Game Series Promotion

Has anyone seen the new promotion the NFL Network is running? I guess they are going to do teams that didn't quite make it.

I like the 1981 Chargers and hoping for a Cowboys-Chargers Superbowl in the Silverdome.

But how could they choose them over the 1981 Cowboys?

The early 1980's Cowboys were the ultimate woulda, coulda shoulda team.
That team under White from 1980-1982 was by far the best team of that era and didn't make one SB appearance.

I completely agree, went to 3 straight NFC championships. But Air Coryell probably has more flavor than vanilla Danny White.

Yes, from 1980-1983 Dallas was 47-19 including playoff games. That is pretty good. They should have picked the 1981 Cowboys. They could be thinking of the franchises that have never won the Super Bowl. In that case, the 1981 Chargers were a good choice.

Also the Eagles.

It's obvious they're going for teams that have never won a Super Bowl and outlining the seasons they came the closest.
