Who would be the perfect fit?

Someone who already knows the 3-4 or offensive scheme?

Perhaps a young quarterback for continuity - but can he handle T.O.

Strong on defense or offense?

There's only one name comes to me as the perfect person ...Jimmy Johnson!

Jimmy isn't coming back. Thank GOD. And besides, he is like 60 yrs old. If we are going to go that route, I would prefer Phillips, at least he knows the 3-4 like the back of his hand.

I think there are some coaches out there if given the authority a coach needs could have a chance to come in and succeed. I don't think being an offensive guy or defensive guy is as important as the coordinators you bring with you and the ability to lead. My hope is who ever gets the job gets the control he will need to get the job done.

...the control? Unlimited authority to hire/fire? What I'm suggesting is that Bill may not have had that type of control ...if he didn't, what chance is there of the new coach having that type of control?

To hire and fire coaches yes. Like any team the HC and GM must be able to talk about players release and signings since cap dollars have an effect on the team which gets into the responsibility of the GM to manage the cap but the coach should have the GM's ear on player issues of who stays and who goes. I would also add that Jerry can't have players going over the coaches head on matter of what is taking place on the field. Players need to know who is in charge and under Campo and Gailey player knew these guys where not in charge, under Jimmy and Bill they knew they were

Haha, PT deserves some cushy job at the VR for all of the contribution to the team even though he covers it up with Eagle clothing.

I really think that we need a Defensive minded coach. I think that Palmer/Haley and Sparano could handle the load in play calling much better than BP ever did along with a new OL coach I actually think we could do better offensively. We desperatly need a D coordinator who understands what the 3-4 is supposed to do; blitz and blitz some more. I really want to see Phillips or another 3-4 guru in here...like Rex Ryan.
