Wow -- this certainly appears to have all the indications of a well-considered and competent hiring. Couldn't be more optimistic and enthused over this revelation.

We'll see. Every time I got excited about a coaching hire I ended up being disappointed. The last coaching hire to live up to his hype was Sean Payton.

I was merely explaining my initial reaction to the hiring. It surely doesn't mean my impressions are set in stone or anything of the kind. In due time, his performance will speak for itself.
Greg Jackson's past history is encouraging to many here and to me as well, due to his apparent level of success during his previous stops. Regardless, there's never any guarantees.

I like it. Our safety position has nowhere to go but UP.

Well said. I couldn't have put it better myself. Our performances at the safety positions have left much to be desired for some time now. Byron Jones and whomever we bring into the fold after the draft should hopefully be a step in the right direction (but of course, I'll be crossing my fingers anyhow.)

The Dallas Cowboys have finally found a replacement for departed secondary coach Jerome Henderson. Or rather make that two.

The Cowboys are adding Michigan defensive backs coach Greg Jackson to the staff, per multiple sources.

But the job of coaching the secondary will be two-fold. Jackson is expected to coach safeties while Joe Baker, who had been an assistant secondary coach under Henderson since 2012, will coach the cornerbacks.

I usually just call a plumber. Water crisis experts try to fix everything but the leak.

LOL.... They try to sell you a water purification system.

That's pretty funny BAT.

Yeah. I remember that dude from techmo bowl. I think I was techmo super bowl.

Ok. I'm busted for being a realist and using the Giants.:( The Cowboys had a very bad playbook!!!

I like this hire. I've admired the way the Niners DBs have played since Harbaugh was there. They really go after the ball. Greg Jackson will make Byron Jones All-Pro within 3 years.

My hope is that the sometimes overly optimistic Cowboys Front Office doesn't think that the sole addition of Jackson will be enough to improve the poor safety play this team has suffered from. Coaching is important but there is nothing he can do about Barry Church's slow reaction time and even slower foot speed.

I like the hire but please go out and get some talent.

If I was Dallas I'd sign back Mo Claiborne on a short deal and see if this guy can change anything.
