It is an amazing structure.

Given how large the building is, I gotta believe that many people in the stadium are reduced to mostly watching the billboard TV (because the actual performers are rather far away).

i just read nick eatmans blog and apparently George Strait announced that he was a Cowboys fan AND that it was Bill Bates birthday at the concert and then led the crowd in singing Happy Birthday to him.
yep they picked the right guy to open the stadium.

Those pictures do this place no justice what so ever. Just getting back from the concert, it is the most amazing structure ever built. Getting to watch the roof open was something else, and the video board is unreal. Just amazing is all i can say. The stadium was almost full, probably the full 90,000. Watching a game there will be incredible, not a bad seat in the house.

Cowboys Stadium: I 'thumbed up' a little too soon...

OK, Jerry: One complaint -- I just got stuck in the ladies' room outside the media area for, oh, 10 minutes. I closed the door for privacy, only to discover -- NO HANDLE on the inside. I understand about being "still in progress," but still ... it was a little scary. I had to text-message my cohort, Mario Tarradell, to come get me, and the first time it wouldn't go through (the TRUE terror of seeing "no bars" on the cellphone). It did finally go through ... but I had been pounding on the door for about 10 minutes by then. LOVELY bathroom, but I didn't want to spend the last 10 minutes of George Strait in there. Invest in door handles, soon

Does anybody besides me feel extremely jealous of the people there?

This is too cool. What an amazing stadium.

Are you coming to Arlington for opening game night? I live here in Dallas.

It must suck to be Giant's and Jet's fans right about now. They've got a year to wait knowing they are getting a Commodore 64 for the same money we spent getting an overclocked monster quad core. Not to mention they've got roommates too!

Giants fan, "Hey guess what? My roommate and I just put a used Ford Topaz on lay-a-way in a swamp in New Jersey! How cool is that??"

Say what you want about Jerrah, but the man built a shrine to America's Team that will be known throughout the world.

Totally agree. I just wrote about it in another post. The video screen defies logic. You simply can't explain it. You have to see it.

i hope all those folks have a great time, get all the wrinkles worked out of the stadium and traffic and parking.
then when the Boys kick the crap outta the Giants i will be there in section 128 doing the football thing.

Man, I just cant get over how low that screen looks. Someone is going to hit that thing, no doubt.

It's 90 feet from the floor and I doubt McBriar could kick a football that high.

Still, I think it can be raised if necessary.

I'll try and post some pics later - I'm sure everyone that was there already has too.

The screen look low because it's so dang big. I was on the club level and when you look at the people below it, it's pretty dang high up. There is no way that a kick could touch it.

As far as the stadium....there really are no words. From the moment I steped out of the Trolley I was on - I was speechless (except the ocasional curse words that kept poping out).

The video board - unreal. Even photos don't do it justice.
The atmosphere - you really don't think your in a football stadium. You go from section to section and they each have a different feel.

The food - LOTS of choices, but be prepared to spend some money. The club level is made to order. Things like Chipolte Chicken sandwich, Aged beef sandwiches, and sweet potatoe fries. There is a couple chefs in full gear behind and they make everything after you order it. The wait can get pretty long, but the food is good.

The seats - nice...SOO much more comfortable than Tx Stadium. Not alot of leg room for those who are taller - but pretty much all new stadiums are built like this. Some large plastic piece fell off of the seat behind us, so that piece found it's way into my wife's purse :)

Bathrooms - longes wait I had was maybe 30 seconds, and for the wife, about 2 minutes. Plenty around and nice. Even the paper towels had stars on them!

Full bars, leather couches (white and black) scattered around. Not the normal feel, but you can get use to it.

LCD TV's EVERYWHERE...and I mean EVERYWHERE.
