Statement game as in "We might be injured but we half reloaded."
As frusterating as it is to see Weedon check down all day, maybe it is best to stick with his underneath game. Leave the heroics to when Tony come back.

If that journeymans Randle can give us 80-plus yards, boy howdy, I am happy. Happier than a farmer with TWO subsidy checks. happier than a police department with a new supply of billy clubs. Happier than Jerra after he got his face lift. But I digress.

If Jerra can pull it all together, a solid, midrange passing game, 80-plus yards rushing with hep from the other journeymens and get our special teams to be consistent and get the defense to depend on its corners and blitz most of the day, I think we can emerge as 3-1.

Please endorse this post because I am feelink insecure.

I'll endorse out of respect for your fandom. I'm insecure too though. Brees wanting to make a statement on prime time, our decimated DL and offensive stars out, etc.

I've been saying the same thing. Rob Ryan is a terrible coordinator. I'm surprised he still has a job but that's a good thing for the Cowboys. I could see Randle and McFadden both having good games. Ryan's defense is going to give up some plays. The Cowboys can get some plays downfield throwing the ball and then the O-Line needs to start plowing some paths for the running backs against that bad defense. They could help the Cowboys look pretty good for one week anyway

If we loose this it will be hard for us. I believe we play NE next. That will be a 3 game loosing streak.

I think it's going to be a long, hard Sunday night for us Cowboy fans.

Just reading their team's website, hearing their player interviews and reading comments from their fans, this game Sunday night is the game that they put it all out on the line for their season. It's already bleak for them at 0-3 but if they fall to 0-4 their season is pretty much over.

That place will be rockin' and in their minds, it's do or die. We are decimated by injuries and reeling after getting dominated in the 2nd half at home last week.

I hope I'm wrong and in any other circumstances I wouldn't feel this way but I don't feel very good about this game at all.

This week is as close to a must win for 2-1 team as there ever has been. Team needs two wins between now and Romo's return.

Makes me want to grab that silly umbrella away from Benson and crush it! And crush that stupid dixieland jazz and gumbo marx they make!

Winning will be the salve after our defeat against NE. Can you see our secondary covering all them average receivers that Brady make look like HOFers?

I think NO is big, going to 3-1 and I feel that after that game 4 of the next 5 are very winnable especially with a lot of help coming on the defensive side.

IMO this is one of our more winnable games with Dez/Romo out. If we're not going to find a way to win this game, then I'd be willing to bet we're probably going to miss out on playoffs. Usually you don't say that about a week 4 game, but when your team is completely decimated by injuries then every W/L even more critical. This game is very critical because if we lose this game, we can very easily be looking at 2-6 or 3-5 with NE, SEA. NYG, and PHI all coming up in our next 4 games.

With no Brees, we would have a W and be 3-1...

Now it's like 50/50 for me and I don't like that....

sorry to say but I feel like this is a loss just don't trust the team or the coaches to many injuries.

wouldnt be shocked either way..... I am leaning towards Dallas; I do think they will give it one last shot against a Romoless Cowboys team, but after losing, officially go into rebuild mode;.

Let me preface everything I am about to say with the following: I WANT DALLAS TO WIN!!!

Now that I got that out the way. Let me point out the following: Sunday was bad...really bad. Don't let the lead we jumped out to fool you. If Weeden was the REASON we scored 28 points....I would have some hope. But the reason we scored 28 points was because of our playmakers turning small gains into big plays. We stand very little chance against teams that can score 24+ points. I don't need to remind you all...but we scored ZERO....ZERO points in the 2nd half. At HOME. On national TV....against a QB from Texas...and an ex-coach with an axe to grind...not too mention the whupping we put on them last year....they will be out to destroy us. If we were at full strength on defense...I would give us a chance...but we simply cannot rush the passer with anyone on the DL we trot out at the moment. And the safeties we deploy cannot cover. I love the heart and grit we have shown...but we are not missing depth folks....we are missing impact players. Our depth is currently starting. Scandrick was our best cover CB. Our best pass rushers are out. Our only QB is out. The biggest playmaker on offense is out. We are relying on guys we have NEVER relied on....so as much as I would LOVE to be wrong....we are in deep trouble on the road against teams that score points.
