I really love that it looks like Texas Stadium from afar.

Nice find. Thank you. I want a house within a mile of that so I can walk to all my games.

I actually don't like this. It reminds me too much of California, where everything is becoming a 'town center.' It is basically trying to copy the pedestrian shopping areas of the midwest and northeast, but the consumerism always aggravates me, especially after a decade or two.

But what I really don't like is the location - I think I read elsewhere that the street will be pedestrian friendly, thus only 2 lanes each way. That is going to make the logistics of that area VERY tricky, even when it isn't game day.

I like the concept. Maybe that's because I hate living in Houston and having to drive everywhere. It has taken some time to catch on in the South, though.

I agree with the concept. I hate HATE HATE driving. Passionately. But this won't exactly get rid of it. You will just drive to this area and walk to the stores to spend your money, rather than driving to multiple stores.

The city of Arlington still has no public transportation.

So where are all the strip clubs going to be located? I am not serious, but I wonder if some strip clubs will pop up or if the city of Arlington has any ordinances or is in the process of creating any ordinances to prevent them from being near the stadium. I know one time I went to the current stadium and as we were driving along Loop 12 it seemed as if there was a strip club on every block.

There are three up on North Collins, about ten minutes from the stadium.

None are in or will be in the immediate city limits, but there are already several around the area.

I own a condo just off Collins right on the other side of highway 30. ;) You can hear Ranger games from it and see the fireworks when they hit home runs.
