Cowboys Stadium Tours Start In June

Want a peek at the huge, retractable-roofed stadium in Arlington where the Dallas Cowboys will play next fall?

Public tours will start June 26: $15 for adults, $12 for children and seniors. They'll run every 15 minutes from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sundays. Each tour will be an hour and 15 minutes. To book, call 817-892-8687. The Cowboys folks say they expect slots to fill fast, so call soon.

Meanwhile, a few blocks away, the Texas Rangers are offering Friday night discounts for their baseball games: $10 instead of the usual $25. Friday parking will be $5 instead of the regular $12. (I'll add that even at $25, those Rangers tickets are a little less than the Major League Baseball average and nearly a third of what you'd pay on average for a ticket to a Yankees home game. But then, of course, you'd be seeing the Yankees.)

The Rangers are also offering some meal deals at the concession counters.

As for the Cowboys, their Web site indicates their game tickets will start at $59.

they are charging season ticket holders for a tour?
They better not be. I've been told they'll have "special" tours for us.

The article didn't mention ticket holders, so these are just tours for the public. Any ticket-holder-only tours would probably be announced through mass mailings our something - and probably be free as well.

you may not be able to buy liquor at the new stadium soon. It appears Jack Hill, the stadium General manager was arrested Saturday night for drunk driving after a minor accident, putting at risk the stadium liquor licence

ARLINGTON – The Dallas Cowboys are facing a possible fine or suspension of their liquor sales permit after the venue’s general manager was arrested Sunday on suspicion of driving while intoxicated.
Arlington police arrested Jack Hill, 53, after his vehicle was involved in a minor collision on Randol Mill Road right outside the new Dallas Cowboys stadium, just hours after its inaugural event. No one was injured in the collision, but Hill failed a field sobriety test and was arrested, police said.
Now the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission is investigating whether Hill was overserved liquor at the football stadium. If so, the Dallas Cowboys could face a fine or suspension of their liquor permit.

I don't think its in the best interest of Arlington to suspend their liquor license. They are virtually in a partnership with the Cowboys.

"On your right you'll see 50,000 seats. On your left you'll see 50,000 seats. Above you is a huge-*** videoscreen. This concludes our tour."

Yeah, and since you people are paying to take this tour of the stadium, I must conclude you can't afford the high ticket cost for any event and will never be here again, so I'm not wasting my time on you low life's....this concludes your tour, now get out!!!!!

Season ticket holders WILL be charged for the tours.
Did you talk to one of the reps? They told me we would have our own tour. I'll chew the guy a new one if I have to pay $15. Not much in comparison to the ticket prices/PSL, but it's the principle.

Yeah, talked to a rep a few days ago; we are going to get our own tour, but not until August. If you want to take the tour before ours in August you are going to have to pay the fifteen dollars.
