What Im wondering is why Sam Hurd's name hasnt been bought up one time in this thread, When He went down this year our Offense was really downgraded. Last Year he was just much a threat than anyone on the team.

That's right, just like the title says. What are your thoughts of using Newman on occasion as a WR. Bear in mind, I'm not proposing he become our #3 or even 4 receiver, just that he make an appearance on that side of the ball every once in a while.

I think it's a good idea.

Newman can no longer return punts or even consider playing WR because he just isn't sturdy enough. We already hurt with him out as is much less if we give him more roles to play. He plays through injury but is no where near as good.

He has to focus on just CB.

Another note is Newman is no longer a young player you experiment with.

When we played Deion at WR it was because he did no work on defense. Teams just avoided him 99% of the time so he basically did nothing. Newman gets targeted and targeted deep right now.

I don't mean to flame you but it is just an all-around awful idea. We don't have enough balls for all the offensive weapons we have now. Felix Jones will provide that speed element not TNew.
