If this is meant to incriminate Newman, it doesn't.

Reference Campo with the guy behind them, you can tell that Campo never goes backwards at all, like he would had he been pushed. His body stays directly in front of the guy behind him in all of these pictures.

He shoved Campo. I omitted frames that were too blurry for screengrabs. Campo was definitely in his face, but that's just part of the game. It doesn't justify a shove.

alot of people gripe about this. but aikman said it best. with the rules the nfl has no its hard to do that. the nfl wants points. thanks to peyton manning crying after that patriots game in the afc championship game. that was the day im my eyes that defense was thrown out the door in the nfl

I agree similar to the way Brady complained about the hits on QBs, if Brady and Manning complain, things get changed, amazing ain't it!

Newman should not start against Oakland. Sit him the first half. Dallas can probably afford the loss of his services in that game & it sends a strong message to the team.

Washington was supposed to be an easy game. I doubt Oakland will be any easier

So you are going to look at the photo sequence that CLEARLY and beyond any shadow of a doubt shows Newman shoving Campo, and then claim reality is something totally different? Drop the agenda and be honest.
Newman may have shoved Campo, but if the sideline ref doesn't move, it's T-New who gets pushed back. Not that surprising really, but, it looks like Newman put his hands on Campo (which he shouldn't have done) and Campo pushed him.

Looks like a minor incident. Newman got held accountable for a screwup and didn't like it one bit. Let's see if he plays harder against the Raiders. I'd fine him and keep it in-house.

A player shoving his coach is NOT a minor incident. Its one that cannot go unpunished or the lunatics will run the asylum. Newman is a punk.

BS

Campo is the only one showing some passion.

He has seen this franchise enter a spiral before and he can sense we are teering on falling in again.

Is he great with the coverages etc, no, but he dman sure isn't as much a problem as the guys to his left and right in the headsets.

Campo was the spiral before. I guess he could recognize it. He got fired.

Actually, I agree that you can't tell from these photos. You could, however, tell very clearly during the game that Newman shoved Campo.

We need the clip. I'll go look around...

I can tell quite clearly from the photos. But then again, I also see quite clearly that 2+2 = 4.

I don't think you can tell much from the photos beyond the fact that they both had their hands on either other. They both do go slightly backwards though. Don't just focus on the guy behind Campo, also look at the guy behind that as well. Both Campo and the guy behind Campo moved in the same direction. Newman also went backwards about the same. Very minor either way.

After watching the video, no big deal.

Get over it.

Bigger fish to fry.

Although, Newman needs to control his temper and emotions AND play better. Newman was yelling at Carp last week.

The video clearly shows him not only shoving his coach but pursuing the issue. I'm curious as to why you think this is okay in the NFL.

Newman should be fined the maximum allowed by the league. You don't touch a coach, under any circumstances.

If this was highschool or maybe even college in some respectable organizations, he'd never see the field again. Since it's not, fine him up the ***.

Was Newman the player who pulled down Campo's shorts in the hard knocks episode?

After review, my ruling on the fracas has changed.

Not only did Newman obviously push Campo, even after they were separated, Newman comes back and does something, possibly taking a swipe at Campo's headset before Campo removes it himself. Watch the end of the video.

I guess I could excuse the shove as something like 'get your hands off me, coach'. That's bad enough, but continuing to jaw and get up in the coach's face is a definite sign of disrespect.

Disappointing. I had the impression Newman was a good guy, whatever his talent level on the field. I hope he will apologize for it. Sit him 1st Q on Thursday.
