Next 2 games are critical for Cowboys season

They’ll have plenty of time to collect their new job experience once the end of December comes around.

Whether the coaching staff is new or not the fact remains that this defense makes the team non contenders.
as does Jerry, you know, the guy that all decisions go through.

I can see us winning the next two games.

I think the team can gel better together the next two games, and I honestly think we can finish up the season in first place in our division because the birds are just lucky and not winning convincingly and as you've said, the commodes aren't looking really hot right now.

With Lamb coming back and Dak have the great year he is having, I can see us going into the playoffs.

At that point (playoffs) who knows, perhaps it will be our year to make it to the superbowl?

Honestly, I can see us winning the superbowl now that we have the two receivers we now have.

Then, just like in the late 70's on that TV show called "Dallas", we find out the entire season was only a dream...
Stop smoking angeldust.

Doesn’t really matter with him. He can have as much time as he wants. Give him another 30 years. He has no clue how to build a contending football team.

The Packers had the #2 NFL scoring defense heading into Cowboys , the #1 offense.

Thus my comment about Dallas and the dream episode where the whole year was just made up ;)

As long as the Jerry is at the helm, I have little doubt our hopes will be crushed just when it looks like things are turning around.

Imagine if Jerry got Parsons at the beginning of 2025 for 40 million a year if Jerry didn't want to play the circus game. Realistically with a generational talent like Parsons on defense, we could be undefeated right now. It's the small things that Jerry screws up that adds up to the big things at the end of the year. So far, since he's owned the cowboys, he hasn't proved me wrong other than getting lucky and hiring his old pal, Jimmy Johnson when he first bought the team.

The Jets and Panthers are arguably our most winnable games this season albeit on the road.

We win both of these and 3-2-1 is looking like season is still on looking ahead to Bye .

And Wash isn’t looking quite as imposing without Daniels. Anyway I could see us winning 1 of those 3 remaining before Bye.

Who wouldn’t take 4-4-1 at the Bye?

I know . The schedule is brutal after the Bye and it could still collapse at anytime. But the longer we hover around .500 the longer we stay in the hunt or at least keep season interesting.

And hopefully keep Jethro from making any desperate trades trying to keep season from collapsing wasting those valuable draft picks.
4-4-1 at the bye facing the gantlet. It is what it is but those draft picks

Yes, I know many fans want us to tank to elevate draft slots but Jethro won’t accept losing out. He will attempt to use our picks to try and save this season.
Therein lies the problem, he won’t admit defeat bc it makes him look like a fool and he won’t ever accept or admit he ever made a single mistake

What happened the previous four years he was in Dallas?
Hey, I'm not the one with false hopes because we are currently 1-2-1 and we played well against the birds and tied Green Bay.

Out of 32 teams, currently we're ranked 32 on defense. Don't think for what Jerry spends on Dak spending 40 million a year for one of the best defensive players in the NFL when he was already on your team would hurt.

Would not be surprised if they drop one of those and win the wash game.

Typical Cowboy thing. Consistently inconsistent.

Consistently inconsistent.
Game by game, yes. For the entire season, no.

Major changes on the team should have been done at the beginning of the 2024 season, and I think everyone here knows it. The problem with that is it would have been a complete unknown for the man running the team, and it would have most likely ruined his "special sauce" (in his mind for keeping the team relevant) .

And hopefully keep Jethro from making any desperate trades trying to keep season from collapsing wasting those valuable draft picks.
Remember, Jerry has a for sale sign on his draft picks. I am 100% confident that he will receive calls from a few bottom-feeding teams before the trading deadline, knowing their playoff hopes are already dashed. Not saying he will make a trade, but will definitely get a few offers.
