I'm not making excuses.

Whether I'm hoping or not doesn't change what I've just learned after years of watching football. What appears to be true one week may not be the next. I do think rest played a role in this. Whether it covers a 23 point loss is unlikely, but who says the eagles or cowboys replicate that performance?

I just refuse to get that worked up over a divisional game on a short week.

You have to start playing it when you are trying to get into the playoffs and win the division which is usually the last 2 maybe 3 weeks of the season. I've seen plenty of team, recent championship teams not playing well this time of year.

At 8-4 one or two more losses could be it for the Cowboys 2014 season so they have to start playing best football now. Dec has been a killer for the Cowboys during the Romo era so they have to start getting back to the level of play we saw earlier in the season or they'll be done in the next 3 weeks. It may take 11 wins just to gain a wildcard birth so the Cowboys don't have much room for error. They have to start playing their best football starting next week because if they lose to Chicago it's going to be hard to avoid another Dec swoon. The Cowboys are going to have to play a good game vs Chicago or they'll get lite up again like we saw last season in Chicago. The Cowboys defense is not looking good. Philly was able to bounce back from the butt kicking to the Packers a couple of weeks ago and looked terrific today. The Cowboys will be in serious trouble if they don't win next week. Seattle is starting to play better and the cream of the crop is starting to rise so next weeks game will tell us whether things are going to be different this season or if it's here we go again.
