If, for whatever reason, BP is gone after this year---who is your next head coach, and why him?

Again, I will say it up here----for whatever reason, hypothetically speaking---if he is gone. He might be, or he might not be.

Ron Rivera, who will get after the qb--currently unthinkable in Dallas.

Rivera would be sweet.

..You guys keep up with that wishful thinking, Charlie Weis isn't leaving ND for the Cowboys..

1.) Because he was just given a 10 year extension.

2.) He stated before he went to ND that his dream jobs were HC of Notre Dame and HC of the New York Giants. So we're not the team he would leave ND for.

3.) What exactly would be the point of going to ND and having two awesome seasons (assuming this year continues to be a success) only to leave without anything to show for it? This of course, assuming they don't win the NC this year which is highly unlikely. ND is his alma mater, they've treated him great giving him a 10 year extension after 1 year of coaching, he's not just going to up and leave because the Dallas Cowboys head coaching job is available.

I think BP will be here next year and Cowher will be taking a sabbatical and come back in 08 as the cowboys head coach.

It's not a secret that Weis wants to go pro within a couple years. Next year may be a little early, but he's certainly looking to go pro sooner than later.

According to who? The wishful thinkers here at Cbz? :p:

Why would he agree to a 10 year extension if Notre Dame wasn't in his future plans?

Considering he's said in the past his 2 dream jobs were ND and the Giants, I don't think his attitude going to Notre Dame was "I'll just hang out here for a couple of years until a good NFL gig shows up."

When you consider the recruiting classes he has coming in, which are absolutely out of the world, he has a good thing going in ND, and I don't see him leaving it anytime soon.

That's where my money is.

makes sense, doesn't it?

basically same system, and he definately wants to come back to the NFL. And Parcells would recommend too.

odds?

Like I said, next year is probably a little early, but he'll be returning to the pros sooner rather than later.

man, I would take Jimmy's current gig any day!!!!

talk football BS all day Sunday, sit on the boat and beach the rest of the time drinking beer, and shooing off Key West Gays the rest of the time. Hell that is way better than putting up with these crybaby football players, and "issue creating Media dorks".
