A few nice signings today, but I'd like to see that train keep rolling and the momentum continue.

While I would love to add Everson Griffen first and foremost, he may be a big ticket item out of our price range (but I will hold out hope).

But next on my list would be WR Taylor Gabriel.

Speed guy that is versatile and can line up outside and in the slot. Released by the Bears so signing him would not impact comp pick formula either. He would be my pick to replace Randall Cobb.

How about y'all? Who's next on your lists?

Do you think they're still in the kicker market after re-signing Forbath?
Havent yet seen the contract details on Forbath, but kickers are cheap, and I spare no expense on kicker comp in camp... lol
But seriously, why not.

My opinion is that - for right or wrong - the Cowboys feel that Forbath is their guy. They've likely paid him something in that new contract so I wouldn't expect them to go pout and double-dip and then to pay Zuerlein several million dollars more on top of that. I expect that they're done at kicker unless they sign an undrafted free agent after the draft.

Wonder if Greg ZeLeg wanted 2-4mil offer to sign and well Forbath took 930k, with an unknown amount of signing bonus.

I doubt this team will foolishly be stuck on a kicker like they were last year. Think they'll bring in better competition for Kai. But by the time TC actually rolls around I wonder if Greg will still be around if Kai struggles?

I think for sure they'll try to grab a top UDFA kicker too

In all seriousness, kicker aside...…. I would take a serious look at Alec Ogletree and Trumaine Johnson.
Sorry for my kicker sarcasm this morning.

No problem. I didn't take issue with it.

Ogletree is one of the less understood FA LBs being undervalued that is still available IMO.
Check his game logs,, he is one of the best LBs in the league in coverage,,, not so great in run support.
Having added two big bodies on the DL would be the perfect environment for a LB like Ogletree that can run free and cover TEs that are dominating now in this league.
Ogletree is one of the best at shutting down TEs in this league, that's his game, his skillset.

I would think Cowboys will do very little in FA at this point until the draft is completed and then fill in holes with remaining FA.

Which of our linebackers are you advocating to replace?

Everyone has to realize that Crawford is in the last year of his deal and Clowney and Griffen want longer term deals. The $8m savings is just for the first year, but where do we get the $8m (plus the other $5-10m) for the other years? We don’t. That’s why Crawford is your starting RDE this year. With Gregory rotating in as pass rush specialist. Get used to it.
