When I look at the roster, I don’t see any reason why not to take best player available regardless of position. Stick with BPA. Anyway, this is a question for after free agency ends in March or April of next year.
Anything is possible, but I’d be very surprised considering what we need on defense at all levels. Wherever we draft, there will be a defensive player available worth the pick.
What about Steele! He played well at RT for Collins’ suspension then was moved to LT last week with mixed results. Today, he played better. Maybe he will be Smith’s replacement.
1st round you need to try and take the best talent available… This years class is loaded at CB and it’s a need so that makes sense to me. I’m also keeping an eye out for DE, OT and S.
DE-Lawrence could get released due to his cap number. FS-both Kazee/Hooker are on one yr deals. G/T-Connor Williams is a fa, Collins could be released, Tyron still struggles to stay healthy TE-Shultz is a fa LB-both Neal/Lve are fa's WR-Gallup, Wilson, Brown are all fa's Take the best player available in any of these spots.
Yes, if you take a deep dive, there could be a big overhaul this offseason. Since the team isn't too active in veteran fa, the bigger question what do they do with their in house players: who do they resign, do they let any signed veterans go, which contracts do they decide to restructure?
If poor man’s Demarcus, Gregory, and Parsons are all on their A game we have a Super Bowl caliber pass rush. I have ZERO confidence Demarcus will ever hit double digit sacks again. I’m going DE in one no with or without Dlaw and Gregory.
