The problem is Dak never throws into “tight windows” flawed stat. I have no confidence in Dak going into this game and neither do most of you. Look at the predictions. If Dak was really any good we’d be picking the Cowboys.

Here is another video mentioning the tight window throws Dak has to make due to lack of separation from our receivers. It starts around at 1:12 mark.

According to Nextgen stats, Dak is #2 (passer rating) when throwing into tight windows. Tight window is defined as when a receiver has less than a yard of separation from a defender.

Russel Wilson is #1, Wentz is #9. So much for Dak being inaccurate.

He was pretty good last year on deep throws, the problem with these stats is they don’t really normalize for attempts, it’s just the percentage.

This year his YPA has gone down from 8 to 6.9. Arizona and SF this year actually jumped his average, otherwise of would be significant lower. And your not going to get much separation on shorter routes, so there stats may not take this into count.

Not sure what the stats say about his deep throws this year from last year also.

I don't know about other QBs on the list but when you watch All-22, most of Dak's throws are tight window throws. All of his passes. Not just short passes. Our receivers don't get much separation. Bease can get separation but he's been getting double teamed more so this year than last year.

Dez gets open on crossing routes and drags. We just don’t use them much..

But this guy makes a case similar to you, based on last years right window stats regarding Cam.

That's the issue. When I watch other teams play, I'm floored how open the receivers are. According to the video I posted, Goff doesn't get to throw much into tight windows. Probably because his receivers are wide open.

This offense doesn't help the receivers much. When you watch the Saints, all of their receivers usually are couple of yards away from nearest defender.

You may have not seen my edits and if you haven’t, the following link makes a case similar to yours for ‘tight windows stats’ regarding Cam Newton from last year being so bad when the year before he was on point:

As much as I like these statistical looks at Dak's efficiency, I don't need numbers to confirm how good he is or how great he's going to be. I see it on the field every week all season.

It just saddens me that we have such a superb talent- and superb human being- at quarterback and there will always be fans out there attempting to belittle what he doing or already achieved.

So you're that type Huh? Accept any numbers that validate your opinion and throw out any stat that goes against your opinion. Sad.

All of Daks passes are pretty much a tight window throws.
Not all of them, but more than average. From the article...

"Dak Prescott has been simply masterful throwing into tight windows this season. Despite narratives that he just takes layup throws, he chucks the ball into tight windows at an above average rate (19.1 percent). Prescott's 86.1 passer rating on tight window throws trails only Russell Wilson among quarterbacks with 100-plus pass attempts this year. He also maintains the second-best completion rate at 47.3 percent."

I must admit. I’m floored by this.

Must be his 8 yard throws to Witten. Now that is what I would call a “tight” window throw.
