Eagles have better receivers, a better defense, and a good OL and running game. They're well coached, well schemed, and they build a team intelligently, it's not just Wentz making them good.

Cowboys are a shambles and Romo being elite papered over a lot of the cracks. Dak's a fine franchise QB but he can't yet carry a team on his back, he does need a bit of help. He does a fine job throwing into tight windows and he's evolving as a passer. With Smith and Lee the Cowboys are a good side, but I'm so pissed off that a couple of people get injured and all of a sudden "season over"

He is 10th in overall accuracy for QBs that have started as many games as he has. 20 such QBs so he's right in the middle. 2nd with tight windows...10th overall...I guess he just misses when the windows aren't tight?

Not a knock on Dak, BTW. I love the guy.

That's the issue. When I watch other teams play, I'm floored how open the receivers are. According to the video I posted, Goff doesn't get to throw much into tight windows. Probably because his receivers are wide open.

This offense doesn't help the receivers much. When you watch the Saints, all of their receivers usually are couple of yards away from nearest defender.

Yeah, I'm constantly amazed to see defenders trailing 5 or more yards away from receivers on other teams.

I think it’s some inconsistency.

Dak was known for having inconsistent footwork in college which negatively impacts his accuracy at times.

He has improved his footwork a lot the last couple of years but still has room to grow in that area.

The problem is Dak never throws into “tight windows” flawed stat. I have no confidence in Dak going into this game and neither do most of you. Look at the predictions. If Dak was really any good we’d be picking the Cowboys.
I have confidence in Dak but not Green or Bell in place of Tyron or Jaylon in place of Lee.

Fixed it for ya

P.S. come on now, as Cowboy fans we all hate the Eagles but apparently only you would disrespect the Eagles right now with that thinking... Obviously takes more than a good qb, just ask Romo

No speed...antiquated passing scheme. Built for someone like aikman. Even Romo was a poor fit for this passing game. Romo in a West coast scheme would still be playing. Dak is doing just fine...but the scheme is a poor fit for him as well.

It's all about the supporting cast. Neither Dak or Wentz are world beaters when their teams are letting guys kill them or don't catch balls, etc. Both are really good when they get the proper supporting cast around them. Very few QB's at any level can make up for major flaws on the team.
