- Romo should be behind McNabb.
- Barber should be behind Portis and Jacobs.
- Bennett should be in front of Boss and Celek.
- Defense/ST's are about right until the ST's improves drastically.

I just about agree with all of that...speaking in fantasy terms.

--still think Romo squeaks by McNabb due to Witten and >Felix factor
--IF everyone is healthy, point-wise: Westie, Portis, Jacobs, Barber...but close. I think McCoy cuts into Westie's carries....but Felix will hurt MB3 too.
--Witten, Cooley, Celek, Bennet, Boss..and maybe the new Eagle rookie
--I'll agree on DSTs for now, but Dallas could move up due to sacks and upgraded return game.

I was about to say the same. I wonder who #1 is?

They have Dallas Clark slightly ahead of Witten in fantasy scoring.

Oh nm I see. Clark is good, but I dont think he's better then Witten, and Cooley is to high on the list.

Actually, "spelt" is perfectly acceptable in the English language and both words are generally looked upon as being interchangeable.
Hmm... certainly didn't know that. My mom is an English teacher, she used to ALWAYS correct me for pronouncing, and writing, "spelt".

IMO, Witten should easily be the #1 fantasy tight end. Especially with TO gone. He is going to go berserk. The guy had a shot at the TE yardage record in 2007, and he just may have another realistic shot at it this time around.

From an Eagles perspective, most of us feel pretty good about this years acquisitions/draft signings. Taking a closer look at the list ...

Quarterbacks

# 8....Donovan McNabb (proven and Healthy throughout the 2008 season)

Running Backs

# 7....Brian Westbrook (proven)
# ?... Leonard Weaver (under-rated with potential as FB)
# 52...LeSean McCoy (rookie - unproven in the NFL)

WRs...

# 23...DeSean Jackson (not a rookie this year)
# ? ...Kevin Curtis (healthy and underated)
# 50...Jeremy Maclin (rookie - unproven in the NFL)

TEs...(1-30)

# 14 ...Celek (improving rapidly)

Defense/Special team scoring (1-32)

# 7 (status quo ...with Jim Johnson possibly out under medical reasons)

The Eagles have improved overall in the off season.

I agree. The Eagles had an excellent offseason.

--McNabb just needs to stay healthy--two years in row may be too much to ask.
--McCoy was a great pickup at RB. Later in the year, he may be able to cover well for an injured Westie if that happens.
--I'm not sure why Curtis was not ranked in the WR group.
--I also think Celek will have help with the new TE from Florida coming in.

Of course, as always need to be mentioned on these kinds of things...

THIS IS A FANSTASY FOOTBALL RANKING LIST... NOT ACTUAL RANKINGS

Thank you.
Fantasy rankings tend to be more accurate since the purpose is to actually be predictive for an audience that only cares about the author being right.

how could they rank a rookie player ahead of some proven talent in teh NFL. McCoy ahead of Choice? give me a break.

Because Choice is still a #3 RB. They'll probably rank Beanie Wells ahead of him too.... more carries = more points
