I hate what happened Christmas day........absolutely bummed, especially against THEM! However................
The NFC this year is a matter of "team de jour". In the beginning everyone was all over the Bears. It was the Giants for a few weeks in October. Dallas got the "charmed" treatment for a while. Then the pixie dust fell on the Saints. Now it's the Beagles. See the pattern?
No doubt in my mind that whoever's in stride in January wins the NFC. And that could be Seattle again for all we know. It's so unpredictable that the Giants could even find their game again and make some noise. Who knows?
Dallas has as good a shot as anyone in the playoff tournament. It's very tempting right now to go neg and feel sorry for ourselves, to get down on the Cowboys and turn tail. I've seen it all day on the forums, Cowboy fans pissed off and quitting on them. Taking it personally, as if Jones and Parcells deliberately conspired to let us down to see what we're made of as fans. I hate it. If you ain't got the stomach and the fight in you as a fan, get the hell out of here.
Not me. Not now. Pissed off? Yeah, but that "pissed off" in me only makes me see the comeback and how sweet it could be if we do go to the NFC Championship game or the SB! It's the rocks in the brook that make the brook sing. It's the ability to overcome setbacks that makes the victories sweet.
This is far from over. And there's ample opportunity for revenge in the playoffs (Eagles, Saints) too. A man's gotta' think something, might as well see the high road.
