I believe the NFC-East will be a monster in 2006. Here's a snap shot look at the NFCE Wide Receiver picture alone ...

Cowboys
(1) Terrell Owens ...33 years old (healthy)
(2) Terry Glenn ...32 years old (healthy)

Giants

(1) Plaxico Buress ...29 years old (healthy)
(2) Amani Toomer ...32 years old (healthy)

Commanders

(1) Santana Moss ...27 years old (healthy)
(2) Randle El .........27 years old (healthy)

Eagles

(1) Reggie Brown ...25 years old (healthy)
(2) Jabar Gaffney ...25 years old (healthy)
-------------------
FA Interest:

Eric Moulds ...32 years old (healthy)
Javon Walker ...27 years old (health is Questionable)

Other than Wide-receivers, what other NFCE positions (D/O) do you believe will bring back the swagger to the NFCE of years prior?

QB's....

~ A health McNabb makes me nervous
~ Bledsoe in his second year with hopefully an improved oline and TO
~ Manning is in his 3rd year with some stability at WR and RB
~ Brunell...not a fan of his...he's not bad, but played well last year, and added fire power at WR

Defensive Line play/pass rush

Last year the Giants really brought some heat with that young DE teamed up with Strahan

Eagles have J Kearse and Howard teamed up plus T Cole is gonna be something special i think. Eagles should have a good pass rush again.

Washington had solid defense last year, actually i dont know who plays on their line and too lazy to research it right now, but they had a decent pass rush last year.

And im also expecting some decent pressure from the cowboys 3-4 defense this year between Ware, spears, canty and ellis.

Wow, something just has to get done here. Philly's front office is nothing less than incompetant if they allow this situation to continue. Moulds is practically a Texan and then talks will heat up big time league-wide for Walker as he is the only solid remaining option.

I agree big time...one of my biggest concerns is blocking these guys. I hope Fabini and Flo can stay healthy enough to handle these guys. If not, well we know what happened last year.

i love how our division's competivieness is so high, look at the nfc black n blue division (north) there is no way they compete with the nfce same goes for all the afc teams, at times i believe winning the division is better then the super bowl...but the super bowl is like throwing salt on an open wound... i love it

I'm going to make some assumptions ...I'm probably going to be inaccurate (I've Been wrong before); feel free to make the adjustment(s) ...

A healthy McNabb makes me nervous [SIDE BAR: Not threatened by Garcia?!]

Bledsoe in his second year with hopefully an improved oline & TO [hoping real hard that Bledsoe remains healthy; looking for a QB in the upcoming draft]

Manning is in his 3rd year with some stability at WR and RB [Breakout year in 2006?]

Brunell...not a fan of his...he's not bad, but played well last year, and added fire power at WR [Is Collins the answer if Brunell's knees give out?]

Eagles are borderline nuts to go into the season with Gaffney and Brown as #1 and #2 WRs. They are arguably #7 and #8 WR if you ranked all the starters for the different teams. When you combine that with an unwillingness to run the ball, it spells a recipe for poor offensive production.

They should really be on the phone with GB and giving up a 2nd rounder to get Walker and sign him to a long-term deal. They could even sweeten the pot and offer a 2nd and 3rd rounder if required. They can compete in the NFC for the SB if they fix a few small things - much better team than their record indicated. Things just kind of snowballed on them after TO suspension and McNabb injury.

Hey Phoenix-Talon, who do you think has the best duo in the division? If Healthy and Happy I think the Cowboys ....... I would think the Giants would be second .... but that one kid Brown impressed me last year for your eagles.

A healthy McNabb makes me nervous [SIDE BAR: Not threatened by Garcia?!] ....No threat with Garthiaaaaaa

Bledsoe in his second year with hopefully an improved oline & TO [hoping real hard that Bledsoe remains healthy; looking for a QB in the upcoming draft]...We really need a young QB to groom...not convinced we will draft as we have a few NEED positions to address with the first three picks. OLB, FS, NT, OT

Manning is in his 3rd year with some stability at WR and RB [Breakout year in 2006?]...We better hope not, but it's a real good possibility.

Brunell...not a fan of his...he's not bad, but played well last year, and added fire power at WR [Is Collins the answer if Brunell's knees give out?]

During this off season, I had a chance to look at some recent Strahan film. This guy is a relentless monster on the field; a definite threat to QBs everywhere!

Eagles have J Kearse and Howard teamed up plus T Cole is gonna be something special i think. Eagles should have a good pass rush again.

Not trying to be a homer by saying ...that combination will pose a threat to opponents. Kearse seems to have found the secret to staying healthy also. I'll be watching that defense closely.

Washington had solid defense last year, actually i dont know who plays on their line and too lazy to research it right now, but they had a decent pass rush last year.

True, but I'll bet they will regret releasing Lavar Arrington! You know how those things are, He'll be back to haunt them (like TO will to us).

And im also expecting some decent pressure from the cowboys 3-4 defense this year between Ware, spears, canty and ellis

Bears ...all of them!

Next question ...believe me, most Eagle fans are wondering what's happening with that scenario. But I have a pretty good feeling that we may get either Walker or Moulds.

Do the Texans have the money/trade power that the other interested franchises have? Just curious.

Why would anyone want to go to the Texans...hmmmm.....$$$ talks I guess.

I can certainly see Philly and attractive place for a WR...they throw 65% of the time. That's a dream spot for WR's I'd think...

I don't necessarily disagree with you. But don't count these two out. Besides, we're still in the running for Walker and Moulds.

Mould would be a reasonable stopgap solution.

However, with the Eagles available cap space and glaring need at WR this should be the #1 priority for the franchise. I was a strong proponent of Dallas making the trade for him and releasing Keyshawn but JJ and BP decided to bring in TO instead.

Brown showed some potential last year and is a fabulous athlete. I have not been impressed with Gaffney.

My automatic response would be the wide receivers are as effective as the opponent teams pass ineffectiveness.

However, I'd have to agree with your assessment. That said, I also think the Giants and Skins could be about even. We'll see -- it's all on paper right now anyway.

I think to rank the WRs (based purely on receiving skills) individually may be more instructive:

#1 TO
#2 Moss
#3 Terry Glenn
#4 Plaxico
#5 Toomer
#6 Brown
#7 Randle-El
#8 Gaffney
