Why the wait? Makes no sense. Jerry likes TO a lot, he'd give him every chance to catch on with another team.


I think if he was going to be gone, we'd know it by now.

The NFL commish has said time and time again, no team should make a bigger splash than the SB. News of owens release would be way way bigger than this game on Sunday. If Jones is really wanting owens gone, not being able to do it now is killing him.

It would be just about bigger for Dallas than the SB it's self.

There's a small chance Jerry could be talked into leting TO - a very small chance- and he would go out of his way to give TO the best chance to go somewhere else. That means time. We all know Jerry loves him some TO, and Jerry has been loyal to a fault with players like that.

he is. isn't it funny how the guy who never played football atleast that I know of is right more than any other commentator?

I don't follow Glazer as much but a lot of stuff that Schefter posts that I read seems to come out money in the bank every day of the week.

I'll tell you this...I believe a lot more of what these two guys post that a lot of the other garbage spewing out from others. I'd rather race fast to be right then to race fast to post the first headline.

38 TDs in 3 seasons starting here tells me that it's highly unlikely that Jerry is going to part ways with Owens.

Makes perfect sense....it is Jerry's goal to see how great TO's numbers can be, damn winning footbal games, playoffs, superbowls....etc.

Like Howie Long said after TO made the comment that he wants to win, but that the only way this team can win is if he gets all the passes.....You know what the past 14 Super Bowl winners have in common? None of them have had TO on their team!

When Eisen asked where they thought TO might be playing next year, Glazer said that the Vikings receivers coach who had TO in SF told him and the Cowboys coaches at the combine that if Dallas let him go, he would love to have him. Schefter and Glazer both got a good laugh about thinking of TO being coached by Brad Childress again though. In the end, they both thought Oakland might make some sense for him.

And then Brett Favre, who allegedly said if he comes back next year he'd like to play in Minnesota, can throw passes to the guy who said he needs a gunslinger guy who can win games...TO. Hahahah, the scenarios and rumors are endless.

I'll be quite surprised, almost shock really, if Owens isn't on this team next season. I honestly can't seem to find one good reason to believe that any of these people speculating that he won't be here are going to actually be correct.

One good reason may be what they say they are "vowing to do" and that's to change the culture of the locker room. If they do it, that'd be one hell of a "vowing."

He is not the guy that leaked any info, he has not openly critized players to the media, so what has he done that is so terrible he has to go, besides wanting the ball???


I mean, doesnt alot of players in the league want the ball and get frustrated when they dont??? (See Portis throwing Zorn under the bus, is Washington going to cut Portis for sake of team chemistry???)


I guess in all seriousness, somebody please explain to me what TO has done that is so terrible that he has to be released considering his production 38 TDs over the past 3 seasons.

it has nothing to with that. he has better sources and doesn't jump the gun till he knows what his sources say are true.

well he did in this case cause there is no real source backing this story or proof.

we have more talent on paper then the pats did last season. their young coordinator who now holds a job jason couldnt land set records with an offensive unit thats great but top to bottom still not as talented as ours

When TO is no longer on the team.

The "Failures" of this will be two fold.

1. TO could have done more
2. We could have done more with TO

I still think Jerry is still deciding (or has recently decided.) That would explain the delay. And it doesn't preclude the possibility that he will decide to keep TO.
