Why the wait? Makes no sense. Jerry likes TO a lot, he'd give him every chance to catch on with another team.

I think if he was going to be gone, we'd know it by now.

The NFL commish has said time and time again, no team should make a bigger splash than the SB. News of owens release would be way way bigger than this game on Sunday. If Jones is really wanting owens gone, not being able to do it now is killing him.

It would be just about bigger for Dallas than the SB it's self.;)

He could have announced it in the last month. There's a small chance Jerry could be talked into leting TO - a very small chance- and he would go out of his way to give TO the best chance to go somewhere else. That means time. We all know Jerry loves him some TO, and Jerry has been loyal to a fault with players like that.

Guess we'll see.

owens isn't going to have a hard time finding a job and JJ knows it.
The Raiders or skins will ink him in a second. The Mac Donalds in town is hiring also.

OK...

Keep hope alive I guess, but you're gonna be REAL disappointed.

Not really. The improvement of the team will just be delayed. I've grown used to it. thirteen bad years and counting. Detroit 2.

he is. isn't it funny how the guy who never played football atleast that I know of is right more than any other commentator?

I don't follow Glazer as much but a lot of stuff that Schefter posts that I read seems to come out money in the bank every day of the week.

I'll tell you this...I believe a lot more of what these two guys post that a lot of the other garbage spewing out from others. I'd rather race fast to be right then to race fast to post the first headline.

38 TDs in 3 seasons starting here tells me that it's highly unlikely that Jerry is going to part ways with Owens.

Makes perfect sense....it is Jerry's goal to see how great TO's numbers can be, damn winning footbal games, playoffs, superbowls....etc.

Like Howie Long said after TO made the comment that he wants to win, but that the only way this team can win is if he gets all the passes.....You know what the past 14 Super Bowl winners have in common? None of them have had TO on their team!

When Eisen asked where they thought TO might be playing next year, Glazer said that the Vikings receivers coach who had TO in SF told him and the Cowboys coaches at the combine that if Dallas let him go, he would love to have him. Schefter and Glazer both got a good laugh about thinking of TO being coached by Brad Childress again though. In the end, they both thought Oakland might make some sense for him.

And then Brett Favre, who allegedly said if he comes back next year he'd like to play in Minnesota, can throw passes to the guy who said he needs a gunslinger guy who can win games...TO. Hahahah, the scenarios and rumors are endless.

I'll be quite surprised, almost shock really, if Owens isn't on this team next season. I honestly can't seem to find one good reason to believe that any of these people speculating that he won't be here are going to actually be correct.

One good reason may be what they say they are "vowing to do" and that's to change the culture of the locker room. If they do it, that'd be one hell of a "vowing."

Seriously fellas, what has TO done that is so bad that he has to be released for team chemistry???

He is not the guy that leaked any info, he has not openly critized players to the media, so what has he done that is so terrible he has to go, besides wanting the ball???

I mean, doesnt alot of players in the league want the ball and get frustrated when they dont??? (See Portis throwing Zorn under the bus, is Washington going to cut Portis for sake of team chemistry???)

I guess in all seriousness, somebody please explain to me what TO has done that is so terrible that he has to be released considering his production 38 TDs over the past 3 seasons.

Why are we willing to give up that type of production for the sake of team chemistry???...........Seriously, can somebody give me a logical reason besides you just dont like him that we have to get rid of that type of production for the sake of team chemistry......

it has nothing to with that. he has better sources and doesn't jump the gun till he knows what his sources say are true.
well he did in this case cause there is no real source backing this story or proof.

owens shouldnt be and isnt going anywhere so hes dead on with this article. the boys would have to be complete idiots to release T.O.

I really lmao when I read "one more year"

He was only going to last one year with us.

He is going into year FOUR.

He wasnt going to sign ANOTHER deal with us.

He DID.

If you keep saying he is gone EVERY year in 6 years you may eventually be right.
:lmao2: You Agendanators you!
exactly T.O. haters have been doing this for since he arrived.

hes not going anywhere people. if garrett gets his head out his *** hopefully he can conjure up a effective and consistent offense.

we have more talent on paper then the pats did last season. their young coordinator who now holds a job jason couldnt land set records with an offensive unit thats great but top to bottom still not as talented as ours

Since they are both so sure then they will be wrong. Bank on it.

By my logic, TO will be here in 2009. Why? Because I think that he will be gone. I am a wretched gambler. My wife once tripled her cash just by doing the exact opposite of what I suggested at Black Jack (no lie, it was pretty embarrassing).

So if we let TO go, RW11 is then the #1 WR and that scrub Crayton moves back to the #2 spot even though he totally sucked at being the #2 previously???

Thats our plan to replace TO???.........RW11 cant even run his route correctly (according to Aikman) and Crayton talks like Tarzan and plays like Jane.

Thats our grand scheme for 2009???

WOW......

WOW......

Let's see, there are these guys named Jason Witten, Marion Barber, Felix Jones and Miles Austin.

Are you telling me that even an average Offensive Coordinator couldn't work with this group?

When TO is no longer on the team.

The "Failures" of this will be two fold.
  1. TO could have done more
  2. We could have done more with TO

I still think Jerry is still deciding (or has recently decided.) That would explain the delay. And it doesn't preclude the possibility that he will decide to keep TO.
