Belicheat will get consideration because of what they are doing but the fact he got caught eliminates him IMHO.

Mike McCarthy will get strong consideration, as he should.

Wade should get some votes but in the end i think McCarthy wins it.

Your thoughts?

I think you nailed it. McCarthy will win, as Wade gets zero credit for this team's success.

I think it'll be McCarthy or Romeo Crennel. Crennel has done a very good job (though he obviously lucked into his QB) and the media are madly in love with McCarthy for some reason.

Wade, of course, will barely be an afterthought.

To me honestly, I dont think there should be an argument.

It is Dick Jauron. No one has had to deal with what he has.

they are 7-6 and a win at cleveland this week would put them in the 6 seed. Think about that the buffalo bills as the 6 seed in the very tough afc conference.

Hey that is just me though, They are playing with third string guys, in some cases 3rd string guys converting to a new position. And they are winning.

Rookie running back, rookie quarterback...

Think about what position we would be in right now if we had the injuries they had.

IF he beats crennel in his place for that 6 seed this week I think he runs away with it.

1.) Bobby Petrino

My dark horse is Fisher (having a winning team QB'd by Vince Young is an amazing feat) and Dick Jauron, but McCarthy probably takes it.

John Gruden hasn't done a half-bad job either.

I think it is arguable, but come back in 3 weeks and I may totally agree with you. Dick and Romeo have done great jobs this season.

I would pick Wade Phillips over Bill Belichek and it has nothing to do with spygate. The Patriots were in the AFC championship game last season. They are proven winners that went out and fixed the weakest part of that team last year by getting Moss, Welker and Stallworth. They came into the season as one of the favorite teams by many experts. What Bill is doing is great, but it was expected.

I know Dallas was looked at as a team that could do some damage this year, but there were also a lot of prognosticators picking Dallas to fail miserably without Parcell's leadership. So Wade is exceeding his expectations.

There are some saying that the Packers were not expected to do much this year, but I read a lot of how GB would be a playoff team after their 8-8 season last year and finishing with 4 straight wins. It is not as if they came out of nowhere.

I would actually give Tony Dungy a lot of consideration. Like the Pats, the Colts were expected to be one of the top teams, so I consider that. No one knew that the Colts would suffer so many injuries. They lost their top pass rusher and top wide receiver. How many teams could overcome that? The Colts also play with the bulls eye on their back since they are the champs. I think Dungy has done a great job.

Still with 3 games left I would wait to see how things pan out. A lot can still happen.

You have to remember also about buffalo, while cleveland, dallas, new england were busy adding players buffalo let 4 starters go in Clements, mcgahee, spikes and fletcher.

They replaced them all with rookies or other young players, had those guys injured, plugged in more young guys and they dont miss a beat.

Not to mention trent edwards is the quarterback.

I think it will come down to Dick Jauron and Romeo Crennel, whoever have a better season will probably win it.

WP, Mike Tomlin, and Mike McCarthy will get most of remaining votes.

He, Crennel and Dungy are my top choices.

Worst coaches:

Mike Nolan.
The 49ers are bad and the whole Alex Smith injury thing.

Bobby Petrino
He would have gotten a break because of the whole Vick fiasco, but he just ended up being a jerk.

Mike Shanahan
The expectations were that the Broncos would be good and they are lucky to even be 6-7 at this point.

Cam Cameron
0-13

Norv Turner
And he still may win his division. That shows you how weak the AFC West is this season.

Belichick should win if the Pats go undefeated.

Come on now. Unfreaking defeated with a team that has good but not great talent at so many positions.

I have to disagre with you here.

Crennel and even McCarthy are doing alot more with less.
