I just thought on this Tuesday morning we can all take some time to marvel at our amazing talent.

Go Cowboys, bros.

We can all marvel at our great offensive talent while we marvel at how bad our defensive talent is.

Spot on, other than OL, and maybe DT, there is no depth on this roster to cover injuries.

Hitting on some of these 4-7 rounders is where we need to start. Not sure why we'd expect that to start happening here now, but it kind of needs to.

At least we're not also upside down on the salary cap anymore. For a while there, we had been inconsistent all-around in the draft and the new CPA and the Austin penalty had us unable to plug many holes any other way. At least now the pipeline of players we need to sign are our own, so we know how they fit on the team. That limits some of the risk on these OL/DL extensions that are going to be coming up. Just in time to need to bet the farm on a new QB. :|

I don't disagree. But you can't rattle off 5 or 6 names and then say your team is talented. That's what this guy does in the article.

If your roster depth is poor, and in the Cowboys case it definitely is, then you are not a talented team. What you are is a team with below average talent with a few talented guys at the top.

That's where we are.

Very right. The correct analysis is that we are a very top heavy talented team. 6-10 great players then not much else on the roster to speak of.

Kind of stings to be put behind the Giants and Chiefs. Also odd that the Patriots don't crack the top 10, yet somehow manage to record 12 wins a year.

I honestly don't know how you put us behind the Giants. They still have more holes on their team than we do, specifically offensive line.

An awful lot of love for Scandrick in that piece.

Agreed. If Scandrick can return to his level of play pre-injury I think most of the praise is warranted. He's got a bit to prove this season, though, considering it's his first action in over a year. I like his chances for the record. He's a scrappy little dude that has learned to play pretty smart and to his strengths.

He'll be one to watch, for sure.

Goes to show you what good coaching can do

My comment was about the Patriots. That was pretty obvious.

Yep and ironically, the Cowboys are in a similar situation. So if you are making fun of the Patriots then you have to apply that same ironic logic to the Cowboys.

They may suck without Brady, and we will suck without Romo. Kabeesh???
