THAT'S what I'm talking! I don't get it. I wear my Cowboys gear all the time. The Star is on my car. Practically everyone where I work are either Saints or LSU fans and know who I am already. I would try talking to Saints fans about their opponents during the weeks leading up to our game. No one wanted to talk about the Falcons or Bears BEFORE they played the games. No one barely wanted to talk about the Vikings game AFTER they beat them. Usually, it was how they were going to do September 28 what they did last season. Sike. Sad.

I don't get it either. Saints fans have an insane unhealthy hate for all things Cowboys. I think they hate us more than our actual rivals do.

For a few years they were in the same division when Meredith to Hayes ran the score on them - Iggles too.

That's why the Saints and Iggles hate the Cows.

I don't care about the rating, but he has a point regarding the stadium. They have the worst home field advantage in the league.

It's an overstatement to say they play 16 road games, but it's not too far off.

I'd love for this team to have a home field advantage that a Seattle or New Orleans has, but it's not going to happen.
If you win, things will change. 4 wins is nothing like 12 wins. So just keep winning. You can't erase 18 years in 5 weeks.

How long was that though? The 60s? How many years did they stay as division mates? I mean that was over 50 years ago. Most newer Saints fans don't even know that Dallas and New Orleans were at one time in the same division.

San Francisco is not a neighbor, and they had about a 50-50 split in attendance.

It's an issue for the guys on the field, but a non-issue for those at the top getting paid by having a full stadium, regardless of what team they're supporting.

This is true. But it was also the 1st game of the season. For me its just been coincidental. You had the 1st game of the season against a ex-rival who hasn't been here in years. You have Aint's....you have Texans. I think we'll get a more true test of some of these other teams we face on the road.

Not football related but Dallas is rated 80 in madden.

Philly was at 87 last time I saw.

No love.

I was referring specifically to the issue of not having a home field advantage due to the number of opposing fans in attendance.

It seems clear that a lot of Cowboys fans are selling their tickets.

Business is business I guess...

Apparently they sold their tickets before the season even started so don't be surprised if you see opposing fans all season long. Our great stadium and overall popularity is working against us right now.

I noticed that too and was scratching my head while reading. I know these sports media "experts" and their Power Rankings mean nothing but I must admit, I still find them interesting. If anything and in the case of the Cowboys this year and at this point, it shows how little they do know. I wish my job allowed me to adjust my errors in judgement every week w/o recourse!

You are right. It was like 68-69 called the Captial Division.

I think if we were that popular, game tickets would be that much harder to come by.

It looks like people are making business decisions to me, likely because they can't afford the high costs of paying for and attending an entire season's worth of games.

But as long as the stadium stays full and the people at the top of the food chain make their money, it's a mere 'inconvenience'.

In my opinion, it's another clear example of the 'business' of the NFL.

By popular I mean people all over the country desire to come to a Cowboys game no matter where it's played. The Cowboys are a big draw for the lovers and haters alike. I don't mean the people who live in Dallas are hell-bent on going to games because apparently they're not. I believe many of them buy tickets with the full intention of selling them from the get-go. Hopefully the Cowboys will continue to have success which should change things. Unfortunately, this season might be a lost cause as far as home field advantage. We'll just have to do what we did against the Saints and Texans - win anyway.
