The Dallas Cowboys' selection of Ryan Switzer with the 133rd overall pick barely registered a blip on the radar over draft weekend, but the 5-foot-8, 181-pound pass catcher could be the final piece to the team's championship puzzle.

Now, I know the thought of a No. 4 receiver playing a pivotal role on an offense that already features the NFL's best offensive line, the reigning Offensive Rookie of the Year (Dak Prescott), the league's rushing leader (Ezekiel Elliott) and one of the premier pass catchers in the game (Dez Bryant) seems like crazy talk, but if reports coming out of Big D are correct, the Cowboys' fourth-round selection is well on his way to adding a dynamic dimension to offense that could make the unit unstoppable in 2017.

You aren't allowed to like Switzer. Risen will be here to tell you why before long.

No way Garrett takes Witten off the field, it's a moot point

It really is. We have had the ability to create match up problems for years and never do so.

The Jason Garrett offense requires your best player to beat the other teams best player. There is an extreme lack of creativity that I'm sure, sadly, will continue this year.

And that is why the team brought back Williams and drafted the newest smurf...to show less creativity.

Here, try some trail mix...

blah, blah, blah, Switzer, blah, blah, blah, Smurf packages, blah, blah, blah

someone will need to convince me somehow that Switzer is the "next coming" like many on here are stating when we ALL know that Garrett won't use him effectively...will he get the "lucky" treatment? methinks so....although I would LOVE them to sit Witten for at least 25% of the offensive snaps to give this a chance

What's it going to be then, eh?

He just will, okay? He is a great coach. Fabulous coach. Believe me.

It really has less to do with Switzer and more to do with the offensive system and the personnel we use in it.

I want to think all of this hype about Switzer is true, but I will need to see it happening. We heard all about how the dreaded two-TE attack was going to terrorize defenses with first Bennett, then Escobar. Saw the same things.

They'll be doing more 5 receiver sets w Switzer and zeke getting the reps. Jason isn't getting off the field. He's been tony and now daks safety. Idc if defensive aren't scared of Jason but he always gets open. He's a hall of famer. respect him.

I don't believe in the player...I don't believe in the scouting department...I don't believe in the value of the picked player...a small player has no given value...the reasons for developing further, a highly productive offense does not include change, yet...there is no statistical relevance with a newly added 'rook.'

? I wonder why there is continual doubt...

The reason why this will add a big dynamic to the offense is because, it will be hard to stop Beasley and Switzer. Some what similar to NE

You can't double them both and one on one they will def turn you inside out enough to pick up the 1st down and then some. Then you have Dez, we already know you can't leave him one on one, he's a game changer. Zeke you have to pay close attention to him, so you can't lack in that department either.

Factor all that in along with our O-Line. It will cause problems.

Now once all those guys move us into the Red zone . Now we have Dez, Zeke, the legs of Dak, and hopefully Rico split out wide. Now we also have the weapons to be dangerous in the Red zone.

This is if at all works out that way.
