A new study from Emory University is sure to turn some heads and anger Dallas Cowboys demonizers all around the world.

The Cowboys are not only "America's Team", but they are also have "the best fans" in the NFLaccording to Mike Lewis and Manish Tripathi at Emory Sports Marketing Analytics. The authors define "best" as "the most avid, engaged, passionate and supportive fans."

This should be sent to every Stealer fan.

Once again this year we will have to listen to Mike Tirico go on and on about how many fans they will have on Monday Night against San Diego - but every visiting team draws well there and I have been to three Cowboy games where we had almost half the stadium - and no that's not an exaggeration.

BTW - The Stealers came in 14th in the rankings.

Honestly I am shocked......marketing wise yes, but as far as fanatic and passionate I don't think you could say that when you go to a game. It is usually one of the most quiet arenas in sports which is kinda sad for the size of the stadium.

To add to your comment, it seems our passionate fan-base disappears when we're not doing well but shows its collective face when we start to have success. Some fan-bases (Browns, Steelers, Commanders, Packerd) tend to be more consistent, IMO.

This obviously not accurate since I know that giants, Commanders and eagles fans are the scum of the earth with steelers and 49er fans not far behind

All the NFC East teams have a large and loyal fan base, even the Eagles. I know we have the best fan base in the league.....that is a given. Still, the Skins have continued to have a large and loyal following, even during Napoleon's reign. The Giants are the Yankees, Rangers, and Knicks of the NFL as far as NY goes, with the Jets being the Mets, Islanders, and Nets. The Eagles haven't won any titles during the SB era. but they still have a rabid, loyal, and often criminal fan base.

From what I have seen, some of the crappier fans have been the Cards, Falcons, and Jags.
