I don't like the fact that the injury that kept him out for most of last year was a concussion. Any other injury and I may be on board, but a concussion may be recurring.

Same reason I'm not interested in Morgan though I think he's a fine LB.

I would rather have Taylor..... "get your darn dirty hands off me - - you darn dirty ape" :D

and the award for the most Dennis-Millerian, obscure reference of the day goes to:

HA! :D Miller's obscure references are further out there than that one... alot of people will prob know my "movie" reference.... most of the time people have to ask what/who/when he is talking about???

Is he coming to interview for a positions coaching position.

JJ has gone mad if he signs this aging, injured, 4-3 LB.

Well, there it is.......

Well he will be a starter in NO and a backup in Dallas. I guess it comes down to if he wants to play on a winning team and have a shot at a ring (assuming we can win a freaking playoff game at some point) or does he want to cash in before calling it a career?

He signs with Saints......he is playing for money
He signs with us..........he wants a shot at a ring.

His decision.

What's it going to be then, eh?

My thoughs too, I would rather draft someone to play ILB

Like whom?

There are only a handful of prospects that would be an upgrade to what we have right now.

Free agency is even worse.

I think this an excellent low risk move if he comes at a fair price and if we are protected in case of his head exploding the next time he tackles someone.

In order to do that we'd have to spend one of our first day picks, likely a first rounder, in order to get someone that could contribute immediately. What, then, do we do to solve our situations at CB, WR, and RB?

Thomas would simply be a stop gap. Probably just a one year deal to try and get some experience and depth in the middle. Maybe he could light a fire under Amodel's ***.

we take CB, WR and RB w/ our 1st 3 picks, and get a LB w/ our 3rd rounder:D

I have always respected this guy. Classic over achiever. Quality leader. If the price is right I wouldn't hate this at all. We could use some depth at ILB and the draft is think there. I think it's a low risk, sensible gamble. He wants to play for a winner. That excludes the Saints.

when he was healthy, he was flying all over the field against the Skins

wouldn't be a bad signing at all if the price is right

Let's see what the doctors have to say before we get to excited here. Thomas might not even pass the physical.

Unless they're going to get him for the very minimum possible, to come in and be a role player, I hope this doesn't happen in any form. If we have to give up more than the minimum and the guy actually wants to start...no thanks.

yeah, he could play the role of a fiery inside LB with a proven track record that actually plays with some heart and is more concerned with the game than the party scene in Vegas or LA.
