NFL fans accuse Troy Aikman of anti-Chiefs bias

Fans crying about stuff like this is annoying. Who care if Buck and Aikman hate KC. Maybe they were just rooting for the underdog Jags which is common. The crying about the refs is getting old too. Any mistake the refs make in a game is not the reason a team loses, unless that mistakes is the very last play of the game.

I don't know how many of you are on X, but if you are then you probably witnessed the Eagles fans, I mean lots of them, complaining and crying over refs calls, even posting videos showing the play and the refs were right! It was insane what they were claiming were bad calls. I got the impression Eagles fans never watched football before that game because the stuff they claimed was bad officiating was all rule book 101 stuff.

But I think Chiefs fans are just miffed that they lost 3 games already, and honestly, they do not look like a Championship team this year, for whatever reasons - refs or no refs.

Insane to think bad calls don't change outcomes of games. They change momentum. They prevent momentum swings. They incorrectly lead to points and take points away. Unlike other team sports you have limited possessions so each one is key, not just the ones in the 4th quarter. And you have far fewer games so calls that influence the outcomes of games can influence entire seasons.

To think it only has an influence on the last play of a game is ridiculous.

there's a lot of CZ members that are low key members of this fan base too, nobody's ever seen anything like it before either!! :muttley:
ITs a beautiful thing isn't it. It's like being slapped across the face.

A penalty or bad call that happens in the first half for example, is not an excuse when a team loses. There is plenty of time to overcome that mistake. And often, complaints about a ref call, ignore numerous other things that happen the game, including refs calls that go their way. Every team is dealing with the same bad refs. But a complaint about a penalty called or not called, when there are mistakes made by the players that equally affect the game is ridiculous to me. Why is a penalty called or not called any worse than a player dropping a pass, or a lineman whiffing on a block, or a QB throwing an errant pass? How can you ignore all those things and only single out 1 ref's call? There are 120 offensive plays run in a game and the refs making one call is the only thing that matters?

Troy don't care he is laughing his way to bank every payday. He is not the modern day Madden because he shows favoritism towards teams. If anything he is complimentary when its due and critical when it is also due.

Cowboys fans used to cry that Aikman was too Anti-Cowboys too. People can't handle dudes who don't play games and just bring the truth.
Troy used to pull a back muscle bending over backwards to try NOT lookin glike a Cowboys fan. It got annoying...but I get it.

I don;t think he tries so hard anymore. He's figured out how to just call the game.

Probably based on him saying anything positive about the other team.
As if any announcer can refuse to say positive things about both teams. Announcers are literally suppossed to put aside any past loyalties and be as unbiased as possible. If anything, they sometimes try too hard.

It's a lot of fun in Saturdays....seeing which teams the local/regional announcers are for.

I hold the NFL to a different Standard. There's not a lot of it...but sometimes you can tell. Olsen is a prime candidate. :)

My observation about fans getting mad at Aikman or any announcer - it usually means your favorite team is losing, and the announcers are accurately praising the other team for playing better than the team who is losing.

That’s usually where fans of the losing team get mad, lol.

(Side note: I think Troy is the best former player announcer. He is straightforward and clear…and prepared)
