NFL fans accuse Troy Aikman of anti-Chiefs bias

Weird, I read here that Aikman and Bucky were drooling over the Chiefs and Mahomes this past weekend. I guess you gonna believe what you intend to believe regardless.

This is hilarious.

First, it’s the daily mail, which means it’s garbage.

Beyond that, quoting message board ranting as representative of “NFL Fans …” is a bit much.

Imagine if the Daily Mail posted one of Rockports tirades against fake fans or MCs mockery of homers as a “sports story”.
Totally agree that the Daily Mail is a complete rag..

Just popped up in my news feed..

I enjoy reading all the threads in here.. thought I should start contributing in some way..

It was Aikman.. so....

Cowboys fans used to cry that Aikman was too Anti-Cowboys too. People can't handle dudes who don't play games and just bring the truth.
Well the chiefs haven’t been that great this year so maybe the criticism is warranted though I didn’t see what was said

Keep it up!

Not really true. 3 or 4 bad calls or non calls can affect the game as well. The OPI not called allowing a KC TD. That changed a lot of how the Jaguars had to respond. The non DPI not called, allowing the KC INT, then them getting a TD.
14 points right there directly due to the refs.
But it is unfair to look at one play at the exclusion of all others. Were there call that went against KC during the game or non-calls that may have changed a drive or series?

My point is there are about 120 plays per game roughly. To single out 1 and claim it was the reason for a win or loss is not reasonable in my opinion. I'd say on average, based only on my own observation, the refs make about 5 to 10 bad calls, or non calls per game. That seems high but when you consider how many illegal contact, holding, hands to the face, and other penalties we see but are not called I think 5 to 10 is probably accurate. People like to say holding occurs on every play. Is that true of false? If true then do those non-calls affect the outcome of a play or drive?

I think in almost every case the losing team loses because of what they did on the field and not what the refs did.

I have a Score app to see whatever boxscore on whatever game or sport.

Theres a chat feature in the app. I swear every single game and sport is littered with people saying "rigged." Its gotten really stale.
I agree. But I also think that NFL invites this to some degree with this part time ref thing they have. I don't think full time refs will solve the problem either. Maybe improve it a smidge but not completely. Baseball has full time umpires and they make mistakes all the time. Now they have replay to fix some of those mistakes.

Many football fans hate the Chiefs now. I never thought I would see the day when a pop star became the face of an NFL franchise.

..when your losing, everyone is a blame..lol.

Even the Mascot is not safe.

100%. For years many Cowboys fans criticized Aikman as a fan of any team playing the Cowboys. Probably based on him saying anything positive about the other team. Even when it’s true.
Count me as one of them. He loved himself some Eagles. LOL

Even the late, great John Madden was accused of favortism. If there were internet memes in the 1990's I could only imagine what they would have done with his love for certain players, including Brett Favre and, in Madden's words, "big ole Nate Newton".

Madden did have pet cats in games..lol, "Set the Moose Loose" dude would crack me up with his Johson love.

Announcers like Aikman have to do two things- not show bias and be accurate.

The 2-3 Chiefs have not been a good team so far. If Aikman said so, it made some spineless Chiefs fans cry. Oh well, the truth hurts sometimes.
