NFL fines Jerry 250K

In 2011 in an epic game of an epic playoff series in an epic rivalry between the Bruins and Canadians Andrew Ference scored an epic goal and gave us an epic moment when he immediately and proudly flipped off a particular section of fans in the Belle Centre. He did this while the center of broadcast attention, all cameras on him. It was epic.

He got fined 2500 hundred dollars. When he got home fans had taped envelopes with cash in them to his front door to help pay the fine that hadn't even been handed down yet.

Search Ference the finger on YouTube if you want some of that epicness.

I don’t think Jerry can expect checks from cowboys fans anytime soon.

Nobody's shocked Jerry did that. He's been a hopeless case too long -- just a typical, rich a-hole.

It's really a win for everyone.

Jerry gets his attention.
The League gets to virtue signal
The fans get to enjoy the fallout
Former players get 250k through the charities this goes to

A victimless crime if there ever was one.

I guess that's what troubles me about it. The league is far from deserving a virtue signal.

Newsflash, the other 31 owners are too. You don't reach the Pinnacle without being ruthless for the most part, and yeah...being an arse. It's been my experience in my life that money only enhances what a person is made of inside already. Even if a guy like Jerry was poor or whatever, he'd be the same way, except no one would notice or care .Now it's magnified because of money .

It's not news -- and everyone knows it. He's been that way for decades. Just a hopeless case. Most of the owners are smart enough to avoid his pitfalls, but not Jerry. It's a shame so many of his team's fans have to put up with him.

Guys I hate Jerry but if you watch his interviews he uses his middle finger to point at things it was a natural thing he does we point with our 1 finger he uses his middle finger to point sometimes go watch some when hit hits the table saying something he hits the table with his middle finger its on video go look
My dad used his middle finger to point at everything as well. And I've seen other folks (mostly elderly - no offense intended) have the same habit or mannerisms. Not sure in this particular case by JJ, but I can almost believe it was not his intention to flip off someone.

From League perspective they had to , since it was caught on the tv and Internet. From Jerry’s perspective more publicity and a small price to pay , but he needs to save these emotions and elations for play off victories and not over winless Jets
