NFL Is urged To Investigate Officiating Crew From Dallas Cowboys at Detroit Lions Game

The NFL is corrupt and rigged and anyone who doesn’t think so isn’t paying attention. These refs are slimy and despise our Cowboys. It’s been an ongoing issue for DECADES
Why would you watch it if that's what you believe?

There are far, FAR more people that like watching the Cowboys lose than there are Cowboys fans. The league makes a lot more money keeping the Cowboys a joke than it does if the Cowboys had another SB run. This is why the Cowboys have been one of the most penalized teams EVERY season from 2000 to now.
I honestly don’t know on the money bit, but I would speculate you’re absolutely right on more people wanting to see the Cowboys lose.
I also can suggest that might be because Jerahl Wayne is so polarising and disliked by many. They’re wanting the team to lose because they think that makes Jerahl lose - but he wins regardless as most of us here know.

If you watch the very beginning of the play the Cowboys should have also been called for illegal motion. #71 moved early.

But hey, the refs are biased against Dallas and should be investigated.....

If the NFL wanted Dallas to miss the playoffs why did the Chiefs, Iggs, and Raiders get flagged for what seemed like season highs when they played Dallas?

Don’t address it to me, I agree with you.

I explained I thought it was click bait and posted everything I could find online and stated already they left out WHO did the so-called ordering.
The guy in the vid actually also thought the gambling aspect of it was bollocks but did agree with the horrid officiating as do I.
dont bother defending yourself. You did nothing wrong. I will leave it at that.

I still like the team. I don’t like the obvious corruption however and hope one day the truth comes out!!
I'm sure there are some refs, though probably not many, who let their biases affect their performances. But as a whole, I don't believe the NFL scripts the games, or decides who they want to win.

The owners make soooooo much more money because of Jerry Jones, so why would they want to punish the Cowboys?

If that was true enough for the league to skew games to make it happen, then the windfall they’d get from the Cowboys getting blown out in a SB would be unprecedented. But your theory says watching Rams-Bengals or Broncos-Panthers gets them more money when Dallas has been on the couch for a month. Either way it contradicts itself

This is a coping mechanism for fans who can’t accept their franchise is doing it to themselves. Not an individual bad call, but longterm delinquency. And I’m not taking shots here, Eagles forums have just as many people who think like you do. “Dallas came back from 21-0 not because they’re good, but watching the Eagles collapse and Dallas win is a gold mine for the NFL.” Every fanbase has fans who think this exact thing. “Browns can never be good or the league would lose money.” “Giants need to be bad or NY winning every year like they should would be boring for viewers.” “New England is being punished for -insert victim complex here-.”

If you add up everyone’s conspiracy theories and combine then, the outcome would be that the NFL is consistently unfair to everyone.

Come on. This should be on the "tinfoil hat" forum

Maybe the fact that I'm an Auburn grad/fan makes me not even care a tiny bit about referee's and calls.

they have been urged and directed. This is a classic example of internet clickbait methods. Anyone can "urge" or "direct" It is making your own "news"
Like these headlines online that say things like "DALLAS COWBOYS RECEIVE FUTURE HALL OF FAME LINEBACKER IN A MASSIVE TRADE proposal"

No, they’re part-time referees without any repercussion, corrupt. I don’t think so. There’s too much money involved.

Thank goodness. And I've believed all this time that the reason we haven't won squat in three decades is that Jerry Jones doesn't know his butt from a natural gas well.

With all of the new rules implemented over the last 20 years in the NFL, the game has turned into a joke. The officials have always been bad but now with all of the crap the owners have put on them to decipher it’s just a mess.

You can’t hit or play defense anymore. They want more offense because that makes them more money. It’s patty cake now, not football.

Hochuli's crew just sucks. They made bad calls for both sides, although the Ferguson call may have been the worst. It is a shame that this multi-billion dollar industry has to be tarnished every week by poor officiating and the NFL does nothing about it. Goodell is just to focused on things other than the game itself. The product gets worse every year.

I don't believe there is any kind of corruption going on, like refs fixing games. I have no evidence of that. At this point I just think it is incompetence. But it doesn't hurt to investigate the refs and see if there is any funny business going on. If it's incompetence maybe it is time to go to full time refs who are trained and retrained and graded based on the calls they make or miss.

I the Cowboys Lions game, the OPI calls on Ferguson and Pickens were just bad calls. The Ferguson call should have been DPI and the Cowboys should have gotten a fresh set of downs at the 2 yard line. We don't know if they would have punched it in or not but it was a key play. The Pickens call was bad too. It negated a big play by the Cowboys.

But look at the two plays that were overturned after review. The safety, if you were watching, was clearly not a safety. Dak was hit outside the end zone and pushed back int. The Flournoy spot that was overturned was also clear to me at full speed when it first happened.

I am not blaming the refs for the Cowboys losing. The Cowboys lost because their defense is awful. The Lions score on 7 of their last 8 drives and the only drive when they didn't score was a block FG attempt.

But as I said, the poor officiate just tarnishes what was actually a pretty good game for 45 minutes.

“Ordered”? “Directed?” Was it by an upset fan or by a YouTuber drama starter? Did they send in a ***BLOCKED*** request like the guy who asked the government to build a Deathstar?

Here’s a novel thought: the NFL makes the same money whether Dallas or Detroit wins. If they wanted to make more, they’d get Dallas into more playoff games. This isn’t refs fixing games, this is just reffing being really really hard. If Thursday’s game was too much to handle, then football isn’t for you.
Unless they bet on Detroit

I bet absolutely nobody in here was saying this when Philly and KC had 14 penalties when playing Dallas for over 100 yards (which was more than double the league average) and DPI after DPI kept getting called on them late game drives. Extending them and shortening the field. Absolutely no one wanted the refs investigated those games.

They want guys in their 50s and 60s to run with elite athletes, be in perfect position, then make an immediate split second call and get it right.

Think about that.

Use the technology that is used for fans to see how wrong the call was to actually get it right.

Especially when you got into bed with every gambler in the world. Do what you need to in order to get it right regardless.

Maybe they're jealous that his franchise is worth way more than theirs without having to win anything. IDK.
