Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said he expected Green Bay and quarterback Aaron Rodgers to at the very least tie Sunday's game after Dallas claimed a late lead. Rodgers did even better.

It's bad when JJ agrees with all of us. lol

I'm not sure we all agree. If the issue is the fade route on second down, yeah. If you're saying Dak should've gone down at the one, nope.

It's one thing to not score when you only need a FG. But you can't play that game when you need a TD, and here's why: "False start, offense, number 77. Five yard penalty, remains first down."

But of course, our line never gets called for a false start. Just take a knee and punch it in as time expires. Easy peasy.

You keep running the ball to take time off the clock and let them use their last time out.

When Joe Buck is calling out the pass to Dez being stupid how could anyone miss it?!? I hate that play not even trying to kill the clock. Dez can't out jump anyone anymore.

I will say this however. That drive was a thing of beauty. It really was. Zeke was a beast and that got lost in the defeat.

You'd like to think that Jerry stores up all these gaffes from his wunderboy Garrett, but he doesn't. We'll sail to a nice 8-8, 9-7 record, miss the playoffs and Jones will be front and center defending Garrett and blaming "youth" and injuries.

It's depressing.

I don't care if it was 2 minutes left on the clock, if the mentality is "we cant score too early because there's a bogeyman on the other team" you need to fire your defensive coordinator. This team has been playing and coaching scared the better part of the last 8 years.

Jerry once again blaming the defense to shift the blame away from Garrett... what did the offense do the whole third, when GB only scored 3? What about the offense giving the Packers a lead for a pick 6?

The last few years, philosophically you want the defense to play soft AND get TOs and then you complain when Ar marched down the field on prevent...

This guy..

Agreed, but you have to deal in realities. And the reality is this defense against Rodgers with 1-2 minutes to go is a bad movie.

And the coaching staff knew that. For 7 stinking minutes, they worked that drive knowing they couldn't give Rodgers time to mount a drive. Then with a minute left, you go brain dead and do something that completely works against what you just spent the previous 7 minutes doing.

The call was garbage.

Yeah, a one on one matchup with the defense keying in on the run that scored in the first half was garbage..

We needed a TD, not a FG.. clock management with a FG, people would have a better argument.

The fact it worked in the first half is meaningless. It doesn't change the fact that it's a high risk play. Look at the stats, it's a pass play that doesn't have a strong completion percentage league wide.

They spent the ENTIRE DRIVE purposely working the clock. Nothing by runs, short passes and letting the play clock run down to almost zero. They were methodical and slow on purpose. They had just run for 8-9 yards on first down.

And then they go brain dead and throw a pass that historically has a high percentage of being INCOMPLETE and gee, guess what happens? It falls incomplete and gives the Packers a free timeout. They had THREE downs to get two yards. It wasn't like they were in a 2nd and 10 or a 3rd and 10 and at that point were behind the chains and in a tough spot. They were in an ideal spot to run clock and still have more than enough time to score a TD and keep Rodgers standing there with the towel around his neck.

Anyone defending that call needs their head examined. It's classic Garrett/Linehan paralysis by overanalysis.

Exactly... excuses about personnel and talent every year while the coaches call conservative crap

They ran the ball purposefulky, because they couldn't get anything going passing the whole third with underneath checkdown routes to Witten and Williams, the latter resulting in an INT for a TD..

They finally decided to run left with power running packages and towards the left side and it worked out. Hardly trying to run the clock down..

A one on one pass to the outside is not a high risk play, unless the QB really sucks at throwing..
