Bennett didn't wan't minimal money on a long term deal. He only accepted minimal money, if $4.8 million can be considered minimal as part of a one year contract and the chance to again test free agency. Seattle now got him on a big money deal. It would have cost Dallas big money to sign him to a long term deal.

what did dallas play spencer that year 2x + that... it was a minimal deal for very above average DE. Bennet is 28 now

He's more than a game manager, the guy has an extremely high football IQ and makes winning plays. He's not a stat machine but he's a flat out leader.

Passive aggressive just called to say nice try.

Seattle had defense . Now they have a legit offense too. Going to be tough to stop them.

Something about the Seattle players though, look juiced up ... Hope something is not going on over there....

But it was only a one year deal. Then he would have left in free agency or Dallas would have to pay big money to keep him. Dallas could not have had him on a long term deal at a minimal price as was insinuated.

Not impressed by GB, including Rodgers too. Yes, it is Seattle but they just look messy.

Something does seem off with GB but I'm sure most teams will look like that playing against these guys in that stadium.

They are a solid offense; however, Green Bay does not have a good defense.

He's just a smart QB. He takes no risks, just does what he has to do, and rarely makes mistakes. He throws the ball away when he's in trouble, takes the sack instead of fumbling or doing too much. Scrambles then gets down to stay away from injuries.

Easier to do when you have a RB like Lynch and a defense that has your back.

That wasnt the insinuation. Spencer was tagged on a 1 year deal at $10M or $12M and Seattle got Avril and Bennett for less than that. 2 players on a trial basis. I have no problem signing a proven young player to a long term deal

much less 2

They look very off, out of sync on offense, but defense been suspect anyway.
Seattle looking very strong, even though GB is off a bit.

seahawks missing tackles whoa. Watching seattle has me scared as heck to see the 49ers offense. Kap is a dual threat like wilson but luckily 49ers don't have a harvin on offense but the seahawks don't have a vernon davis or groub of wr's the 49ers have. We cannot let boldin, davis and crabtree get busy. And stop gore. That offense is going to be a problem for us unless we find some consistant passrush and somehow stop the run.

STAY TUNED. Sunday is going to be fun. I still think we pull out a victory.

one of things I noticed last year was Wilson wasn't recognized as a top QB [top5]
I don't think there is any doubt this young man is a premier QB.
Seattle is Boss

17-1 in Seattle over the last 2 years.

Insane-level home field advantage.

Sure sounds like that is what you were insinuating when you say Dallas could have had him at a minimal price. Seattle isn't paying a minimal price for him right now. That has to factor in. It is more than the one year contract, it is about the whole package. He may have been the right guy to sign for Dallas last year, but there was no way it was going to be a minimal price for the long term. Maybe Dallas should have signed him, but they would have to pay to do so.
