Bennett didn't wan't minimal money on a long term deal. He only accepted minimal money, if $4.8 million can be considered minimal as part of a one year contract and the chance to again test free agency. Seattle now got him on a big money deal. It would have cost Dallas big money to sign him to a long term deal.
He's more than a game manager, the guy has an extremely high football IQ and makes winning plays. He's not a stat machine but he's a flat out leader.
what did dallas play spencer that year 2x + that... it was a minimal deal for very above average DE. Bennet is 28 now
Not impressed by GB, including Rodgers too. Yes, it is Seattle but they just look messy.
Seattle had defense . Now they have a legit offense too. Going to be tough to stop them.
Something about the Seattle players though, look juiced up ... Hope something is not going on over there....
He's just a smart QB. He takes no risks, just does what he has to do, and rarely makes mistakes. He throws the ball away when he's in trouble, takes the sack instead of fumbling or doing too much. Scrambles then gets down to stay away from injuries.
But it was only a one year deal. Then he would have left in free agency or Dallas would have to pay big money to keep him. Dallas could not have had him on a long term deal at a minimal price as was insinuated.
Something does seem off with GB but I'm sure most teams will look like that playing against these guys in that stadium.
This pulling eddie lacy at the goal line is a troubling trend
Wilson is playing flawlessly.
LOL...game 1, 3 quarters played, and people have Seattle winning it all....guess why watch rest of the season....
That wasnt the insinuation. Spencer was tagged on a 1 year deal at $10M or $12M and Seattle got Avril and Bennett for less than that. 2 players on a trial basis. I have no problem signing a proven young player to a long term deal
