I was watching a clip on nfl.com with Luis Castillo and Shaun Phillips who said that they put sack goals on their fridge to motivate themselves for the season.

2007 Goals Actual 2006

Merriman 20 17
Phillips 15 11.5
Castillo 10-12 7

Total 45-47 35.5

for 3 players and they pretty much got those last season with all three missing some time during the season.

My questions are do any of the younger guys on this team live together and secondly do these totals sound like good targets for Ware, Spears and Ellis/Spencer?

Steroids whatever, let's get over that. San Diego's defense made plays and looked like they had fun doing it. I trully hope that Wade can get us over the whole system defense we ran last year.

I'm really expected 15-17 sacks from Ware. Also see major benefit for Ellis who should, if totally healthy, get 10-11 sacks and not all of them will come from the OLB position. Also expect around 10 from Spencer in his rookie season & again not all necessary from the OLB position.

I also expect a better pass rush coming from Spears & Canty along with Hatcher & Ratliff. Also think Ferguson will pick up a few as well. Really believe Carpenter's move inside along with good play from Ayodele and Burnett will allow our inside linebackers to pick up some sacks as we vastly improve our pass rush. I think we seriously challenge the Chargers 61 sacks in 07.

I am sure some of the guys share a condo or whatever, but ware is married so he sure doesnt. I think carpenter hangs out with witten, romo, mcbriar and a few others. Witten is married also.
