NFL Network: Great Idea

I watched the NFL network during the game... so I only got the NFL Network commercials. However, on the CBS and NBC feed, didn't they get to play their own commercials when the game wasn't on? Or, did they have to show the NFL Network commercials?

Did anyone watch the NBC or CBS feed and still see the Joe's Diner commercials where they talked about the women's channels and shopping networks?

I agree. The commercial of the people in the restaurant bagging on the channels they do have is genius.

As far as i could tell flipping the channels, the commercials were all the same as shown on the NFL network.

Thanks man. I was wishing I had switched around to see if they were running the "Joe's Diner" commercials on NBC and CBS.

I can barely turn on the NFLN right now for their nonstop "Path to Perfection" promotions. uke:

Oh, and BTW, the place where I was showed the NBC feed, and that commercial was on at least once.

They have had all episodes all year. Maybe since it was a shot across the cable companies bow, they decided not to put it on there.

I'm sure I'll see it sometime... I know that I love the idea of the NFL doing an end run on the cable companies like that.

It was funny. Not only was it a shot at the cable companies... but it was a highly effective commercial. It cut directly to the issue of "only the channels people want".

Joe's Diner customers are saying things like, "I don't want 5 women's channels", and "They can have all the shopping channels back if they want them."

Very to the point and effective.
