...Solomon Wilcotts just mentioned it while talking about AFC FAs. He didn't say it was rumored or anything, he just started discussing the possibility of Moss and T.O. and Romo together. The Co-host, Alex Flanagan, said they will talk about it more in a little while.

Anyone else watching the NFL Network?

I'm watching it. I guess they're going to go more into it when they cover the NFC.

I saw that too....He said the Cowboys have a easier path to the SB b/c of the NFC.....and that should influence Moss...We'll see I don't believe it

Looks more like a ploy by his agent. Let NE know that other teams are really interested in signing him to big money and mention Dallas because JJ would pay for the player.

Could be, but it's sort of like the T.O. story when it was developing. You started seeing smoke and hearing whispers about Jerry going after him. Turns out thre was fire with the smoke.

Jerry's mention of adding impact players to the offense started way back when Romo was signed and he talked about going after it now that he had his QB in place and then he mentioned it again in November before the Packers game. Marshall Faulk mentioned the other day on the NFL Network that Jerry told them he wanted to add another impact player when they met with him before the Packer game. So Jerry has been thinking about this for a while.

IMO, when Jerry talks about impact player or another WOW factor for the offense he's not talking about a rookie WR drafted in the 20's of the first round. Jerry is determined to go after that Lomabrdi Trophy now that he realizes his team is capable of winning another Lombardi Trophy.

Dude we are talking about Randy Moss. How many records did he break last year? I think they know he is being looked at by other teams.
I mean for ESPN FOX AND NFLN to report this it must have some kinda legs to it.

We have done that before and so have other teams. I think it's just pretty common place any more. Anything to stir the pot.

An indication of them possibly going after Moss could be the restructuring of contracts to free up some, "straight cash, Homey!

So would New England considering they just cleared out about 6 million in cap space by releasing Colvin.

JJ may be counting on one other factor: Moss has always laid up big numbers on us because he was a Cowboys fan going into the draft, and was counting on JJ pulling the trigger when it came time for us to pick. We had Michael Irvin doing the cha-cha w/a stripper & a white mustache, (no, it wasn't milk, Mom), at the time, and couldn't afford another head case on the team. Moss has made us pay for it whenever he could ever since. With all things being equal, I still think Moss would even take less just to retire a Cowboy.

Just a thought.

I'm of the opposite camp. I would think Moss would want more money from Jerry to make up for the slight he has felt all these years.

There would be absolutely no excuse for not winning the Super Bowl if we sign Moss and use our 1st rounders wisely.
