I say it's a smart decision as well. Romo most likely wanted to be out there since he's a very tough guy, but sometimes you got to dial back the toughness and make smart decisions. You don't want to lose Romo for the rest of the season by playing him if he's still hurting and has limited mobility.

It's the right move. He can have almost a full month off with missing only two games, one of which should be very winnable anyway.
He needs to be healthy for at the Giants and Eagles at home after the bye. They are late season division games and must wins if we intend to win this division, especially with the Skins loss.

probably best way to go but I guess this could mean Romo's tolerance for pain is not inline with Dr. Jone's expectations

Not sure i file my starting franchise qb out as "great news", but smart decision, sure if its the best thing for the long term.

It's great news in terms of not pushing Romo and potentially causing further injury. The Cowboys will obviously need Romo for a playoff push after the bye. I'd much rather come out of the bye at 7-3 and with a healthy Romo than 8-2 with Romo in IR.

This is the right decision and he shouldn't have come back in Monday night. I'm intrigued to see what Weeden can do with a full week of preparation. We might all be pleasantly surprised.
