"Famous for being famous", but the beginning of the paragraph mentions we haven't won a playoff game since 1996. I suppose the four years prior to 1996 have nothing to do with Dallas being famous?

Saved me from reading the rest of the crap, but I'll guess it mentions Garrett, GM, Terrell, Tony Romo, a trip to Cabo, nothing about injuries, and possibly December collapses?

If you hadn't mentioned Cabo, I'd be asking you if you were related to Nostradomus. :D

I really think some of these so called journalist just rewrite each others garbage.

Benoit is right.

I can forgive five turnovers to Philly, I can forgive 44-6, i can forgive a clueless head coach a brainless OC, the brash defense porous.

But I cannot and will not ever forgive this team being heartless and giving up.
That is the Wade effect on this team.

I have to disagree a bit. I believe it has come from the Campo era. All that losing fostered a quitters attitude which I believe has bleed over to this very day. It is on JJ and the coaches he hires to weed it out.

Yeah, since like, you know, all of 4 or 5 players were on this team from the Campo era?

sigh...do not be so short sighted. The attitude transfers from one player to another. That was my point. You know the saying winning breeds winning? Well so does losing. It becomes a way of life and the organization needs to get rid of it.

I can't say I disagree. There's only one way to prove him wrong. On the field. Let's see what 2009 brings.

So 22-10 over the past two seasons is a losing way of life or do you wish to cherry pick to prove your weak point?

Jerrys Kids are funny, did you just start watching the Cowboys... The emperor has no clothes! As long as the article earns a paycheck, they will keep writing them, even if Jerry is lucky enough to win a playoff game...

Catch phrases like "No Heart" and Paris Hilton digs will go on until Jerry can prove them wrong, whats wrong with that? All the Boo Hooing, injury excuses and 70s style insults make the rest of us Cowboy fans look bad!

act like youve been there

Championships aren't won in the regular season. I think that's the point he's trying to make. This team can be as successful as it wants to be in the regular season, but until playoff games are won, they are still who they are: an overachieving regular season team with no playoff heart.

With that said, I do have a bit of optimism about this year. Our schedule sets up nicely for us, a couple headaches are gone and the lockerroom is coming together. Several players have said that.

Don't kid yourselves. If the Cowboys had won one or both of those heartbreaking playoff games (Romo era), it would then be, they haven't won a Super Bowl in over a decade. It is true, you say? So what? It is true of many teams. He criticizes the Cowboys for being famous, then adds to their fame by writing an article he could have instead written about one of the other 31 teams. Agree because you can't disagree, but know an agenda when see and smell one.

Let me put it a different way. Since the Campo era, this team accepts losing. At times they appear to be happy to be winning vs. expecting it. They get too high when they are winning and too low when they are losing. Their attitudes needs to change more than anything else to move forward. If and when that happens then we will truly see them dominate their opponents.

Hmm...all I got from this is that the Cowboys have no heart and Jerry Jones is the one constant over their recent period of mediocrity.

Someone stop the presses.

So they need to "appear" more upset about winning and happier when losing for the few minutes you get to see them on TV and that"ll show you they've "lost" the losing spirit despite having winning seasons in 4 of the last 6 seasons??!!

Yes the cowboys have not won a playoff game in awhile yes they lost the last game in a messed up way. But how about writing an article that has not been written already? It's just a bit old already. Even a bit hypocritical.

It's true, but it's also a rehash of the same crap we've been reading all off-season. He says the Dallas organization is a star because it's a star. OK. The irony is he proves it by writing this. Quite a few NFL teams have underachieved over the last decade, but he's focusing on Dallas. What a new approach.

The Cowboys are not Paris Hilton. The Cowboys are Mel Streep.

Uhhhmmmmmmm.....

I'm pretty sure he has written the same "2009 preview" article on many more teams then just the Cowboys.

Relax, it will be ok.
