If that's the schedule, I wouldn't even think about putting Romo in if JJ Watt is playing. Hell, maybe not even against Cincy and their DL as well.

Also if going off of years past playing the last game at home usually means they will open on the road...pure speculation though..

This team isn't good enough to breeze through the pre-season. Count me down as being in favor of the Bill Parcells approach. Let's get the starters serious time and go into the season ready to go.

It's not about "breezing", it's about surviving.

Normally the 2nd to last pre season game is the so called dress rehearsal by the time you hit the last pre season game the starters will see very little time and that week is normally when they are putting in the game plan for the opening game of the season. Last pre season tends to be more about getting players on the bubble one last look before the final cuts are made.

Not in the last preseason game. Since Wade was here, our last game was played by backups/ guys trying to win the last 5 or so spots on the team. Heck, it's been the Stephen McGee bowl the last three years.

They put enough starters out there long enough to keep the commish off of them. No they don't start them all and they don't play much. Some can play a fair amt esp those with few starts under their belt. But yes most of the game is to see who to keep and who to cut.

It is not just Dallas most teams do it. HOF game I doubt Romo plays more than a series if any. I don't think Romo will even play an entire half until the 2nd to last pre season game. By the time they hit that last one most teams focus turns to the reg season.

From looking at this, I'd say the Cowboys open the regular season at home. Doubt they'd spend three straight weeks on the road.

And I'll bet they open against the Skins.

Games vs Cinn and Houston will be at Cowboys stadium. So we would not be on the road 3 weeks in a row

If we're still playing scared with our oline that deep into preseaon, then we've pretty much failed the draft, training camp and preseason.

It is not too late to make the oline a strength of this team.

Why? It will be mostly practice squad guys that game.
LOL there was a houston reporter on the radio down here in austin yesterday saying how this is a big deal and that their fans were salivating at the opportunity to play us....little brother syndrome.
