NFL QB rankings, Week 6: Mayfield vaults Mahomes, Allen; Dak at 4

I have never been a huge Dal supporter, but there is NO DOUBT that he has been playing exceptional football, just as he did in 2023.

BUT, any list that doesnt place Mahomes as the top QB..... nah, I cant go for that.

As great as Mahomes is, he has not been the best QB in football this season. But it's only 5 games. I am fine with the "rankings" being fluid and being based on what a player is doing right now as opposed to the lifetime achievement approach. I harken back to that 11 or 12 game stretch in 2023 when Dak was without a doubt the best QB in football. I don't remember exactly what happened to derail him but that stretch was absolutely amazing. No we didn't win every game.. but Dak gave a chance to win every game. The numbers were stoopid.. like 23 or 24 TDs to like 2 INTs in the 8 games following the Niners loss. Then the Buffalo game happened.. which sucked.. but Dak got right back on track and went 8 TD to 2 picks the last three games of that season. He finished those last 12 games with 31 TDs to 4 INTs. You really can't play the position any better than that.

About right..... everyone except Brou (lifelong Dak hater) is saying it's Mayfield, Allen, and Dak for MVP.

And Mahomes is obviously in the Top 4 (first tier) because of his past. I get that, and I'm ok with it..... but I think Dak is easily a Top 4 Quarterback. All time? He's about Top 8. In certain years (2016, 2020, 2023, and 2025) he's Top 5.

There are only a couple of QBs without a superbowl even in that conversation and he’s certainly not even one of those.

He’s a fine, serviceable QB having a good year, but you’re way beyond reason on this one.

Don't be a MountaineerCowboy. I meant Top 8 for his career all time in a given year. Not Top 8 in NFL history. Some people had no trouble reading that...... because well..... there are people who can read and people who can't.... so again don't be a MountainCowboy.

The fact that I put Top 4 obviously indicated that I meant Top 4 in a year (you had no problem understanding that). Then the very next sentence I proceeded to put Top 8.... which would also mean I'm speaking of the context of that year. continuation. sequence. Duh.

He already said that’s not what he meant why do you keep saying it? You’re arguing against something that wasn’t even made he said he didn’t mean all time. He said he’s been tops in a few years and he listed the years. I get it man you don’t want to be considered a Dak Stan I get it but I don’t get the route you’re taking here.
