NFL ratings down 4 weeks in a row...

I'm not even watching as many games as I used to. I used to watch 3 games on Sunday and Monday night. Thursday every once in a while. Now on Sundays I usually watch the Cowboys and one other game. I barely watch Monday's game which is awful and I don't watch Thursdays unless the Cowboys play.

I keep on forgetting there are games on thursday night, other than Thanksgiving of course.

Have zero interest in those, or 90% of other games.

It has always been Cowboys/Dolphins or I'm not watching football. Never saw the point in wasting 3+ hours watching teams I don't root for. Even the superbowl.

It's a much more boring game than it used to be. Call me old and senile with Neanderthal thinking, but so much has been taken out of the game due to safety concerns. It's almost unwatchable anymore. Every good hit I expect a flag. I almost laugh at some of the older NFL films where they were praising the vicious hits. These same hits would get the players suspended with a big fine.

They have taken the spontaneity out of the game like you said...every big play or turnover you are looking for a flag or a challenge.......DAL has been snake bit by this a lot.....just ask Dez...penalties, timeouts, challenges, slo-mo replays and commercials all kill any flow

It will be interesting to see the protests pick-up with Kaepernick starting in SF

I think one reason is over-exposure.

There are just too many games on now.

Back in the 80's & 90's, Monday Night Football was an event.

Now it's just another game between two boring teams.

And then you have the shear number of commercials and all the promotion stuff done by the commentators.

I just think folks have tapped out.

I didn't realize over exposure of NFL games was a thing. But then again we are 4-1 so Im marinating in NFL right now.

Dolphins? There must be a story behind that. I have never been able to give a single crap about another team. Well except my second favorite team, which is whoever happens to be playing the Eagles, Giants or Commanders.

Local team. Living in South Florida I started watching the local teams. Heat, Panthers and Marlins as well.
