NFL suspends Bengals linebacker Thurman

Cincinnati, OH (Sports Network) - Cincinnati Bengals linebacker Odell Thurman was suspended for the first four regular season games of 2006 on Wednesday for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy.

Thurman stepped in as the Bengals starting middle linebacker as a rookie last season, helping Cincinnati to its first playoff appearance since 1990.

"It's disappointing that Odell has not conducted himself in accordance with league policies," said Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis. "We will make it a priority to assure that he returns from his suspension with a more mature understanding of his responsibilities as a representative of the Bengals and the NFL."

A second-round pick out of Georgia in 2005, Thurman recorded 1 1/2 sacks and picked off five passes to lead all rookies. He also amassed a team-high 148 tackles.

Makes you wonder if this is why they spent the resources they did to aquire Brooks.

Sad part is that he too may end up being a pain in there collective arses.

The league is far more concerned about guys who smoke a little dope. Shooting at people is still ok!!!

Tags is a RedStink fan!

If he were a Cowboy fan, Sean "El Thug" Taylor would have been suspended for, oh, about 8 years!

You got any evidence or are you just going to talk out of your booty?

I read a post from Hostile that said;

"That door swings both ways."

So, you got evidence that he does not favor the RedStinks in such manners?

Don't start talking in circles...again!

Yes.

1. The new CBA that he pushed for with increased revenue sharing hurts the highest revenue team -- the Commanders -- the most. Snyder was bitterly against the issue.

2. Tags is not in charge of suspensions -- Gene Washington is. So your claim that Taylor wasn't suspended b/c Tags is a Skins fan is not correct. Tags doesn't oversee suspensions.

Your turn.

What do they call it?

Oh...I remember now! Double Jeopardy....? Or, for another saying, "the wolf watching over the hen house"...

Well, now what?

How come Gene Washington did not suspend Mr. Sean (gun lover) Taylor?

Whose game is that?

If not for Tags to get all that done...the RedStinks would have been in deep chit...they would have to finally pay up!

Your Turn?

We don't know if Taylor will be suspended or not at this point. My guess is that he's going to end up with a 1-game. Regardless it is Gene's call not Tags'.

Got any more booty-talk or are you going to at least try to come up with some examples of this deep rooted bias that you claim?

Come on, it isn't fun unless you actually try. Or admit you are wrong. Either way is cool with me.

OK! I'm wrong....

I did not mean to insult your "daddy"....

How come you did not respond to my last quote?

If that CBA would have not got done....the Midget would have been in some bad times! Period!

Your turn again...:lmao:

Oh I see. Since Tags supported the little guys and made the big guys cough up tons of cash that somehow means that he was actually acting in Snyder's best interests. Despite the fact that Snyder opposed the plan.

That's some nice logic.

Now I want to you step back and ask yourself "am I in too deep here? can I actually justify my BS claims?"
